Face-claim: Hungary | Axis Powers: Hetalia
Major: Singing/Instrumental
Personality:
She is a naturally playful and happy person, and not much gets her down for long. Her world is a fun place—she is not naive, but rather chooses to see the humorous in things. However, a bad trait to her was that she panics over the slightest problem and is unable to think with a calm mind.
She is bad with words and is unable to give a the best advice a person would need and is probably the last person that anyone should approach for advice. Kumiko is, however, able to be a person’s listening ear.
As Kumiko has been learning the Piano since a young age, instruments have often captured her attention. She is able to recognize different pitches and is able to tune an instrument without a tuning device.
However, Kumiko is unable to sing. She is completely unable to control her voice and it could not even be labeled as singing. It sounded more like a horrible shriek that is practically capable of sending shivers down someone’s spine. In her old school, she would often be pulled aside to participate in Halloween activities to scare the poor souls out of her fellow classmates.
History:
Kumiko Matsuo was born in Spring. Her family consists of her parents and herself. Both her parents were well known entrepreneurs of a famous company and they are considered pretty wealthy in their area. Being the only child, Kumiko was showered with love and was deemed as the successor to her parents’ company.
From the moment she was born till the first day she entered her elementary school, everything was organized properly for her beforehand. When she entered junior high, it was then that she realized that she has not accomplished anything with her bare hands.
Scouted to join a Symphonic Band when she was 10, with Piano as her musical background, she joined readily, with determination to be able to master any instruments appointed to her without giving up. She was requested to master a Violin but she didn’t think it thoroughly. All she wanted was to experience the joy of learning something with her own abilities. As she started to inspect and listen to gentle tune of a Violin, her passion for it sprouted bit by bit and she, herself, was amazed by how crazy she was over music.
After her first year in high school, she has made up her mind. It was pointless for her to continue schooling. Why? Because her high school was chosen by her parents. Nothing has changed after all. It’s time to follow her dreams. That school wasn’t suitable for her. She has no intentions to take over her parents company. Maybe she would, in the near future, but for now, she wants to enjoy her teenage life completely – with music.
On her 15th birthday, her wish was granted. Her parents has enrolled her into Aozora Academy – A well known performing arts school located in Tokyo, Japan. All she has to do is to pack her bags and move into the dorms when she’s 16. Her parents has decided that Kumiko’s happiness is top priority but on one condition. She will have to put her heart, mind and soul into any instrument she has decided to master. They will be willing to fork out any amount she needed. But the moment she gives up, that’s the end. They will no longer give in to her requests and she will have to follow their wishes until the day she’s old enough to take over their company.
But with determination as hard as steel, Kumiko is confident that she’ll be able to accomplish her parents’ condition without fail.
Short RP Example:
“Kumiko, Kumiko! If you’re not here in 5 seconds, I’ll cancel your application to Aozora!”
A loud slam could be heard and a tiny girl with messy hair skidded across the room. Her forehead was coated with sweat, her shirt was tucked out. A bag that was larger than her body was hung on her right shoulder as she combed her hair.
On her way to the main door, she grabbed a piece of toast on the table and a bunch of candies. Holding the toast with her teeth, she dropped the candies in her bag and shove her feet into her brand new shoes.
“Bye Mom. See you again in a few weeks time! Mail me daily,” the brunette said, with a hint of sadness in her tone. It was finally the day for Kumiko to enter Aozora Academy, the day that she has been looking forward to ever since her 15th birthday.
Her shoes clicked against the marble floor as she pulled out her cell phone to check for new messages. Flipping it open with a hand and holding her half eaten toast on the other, she sighed softly to herself. This wasn’t the time to be depressed. She would meet new friends, new people, new school and environment. She’ll also have to work harder and harder to improve herself!
The petite girl turned over to have one last look at her house and gave a small wave to her mother before entering the car. This is it. A new chapter of her life. A brand new beginning.
