"Whoa," Atticus began interestedly and leaned forward so that he was a bit closer to Hiro as if he was observing an interesting exotic animal, "You're pretty smart." Atticus grinned and resumed to his original position at his seat. "And you're from America?! Me too! I was born there and everything!" A huge smile was on the blonde's face now, and it probably would stay on there for the remaining duration of the class period. For such a serious face, a smile looked odd and out of place on Atticus. He was born with his appearance and personality mismatched.
"Well, I don't know that many people either." Atticus shrugged, "People know me though... as the obnoxiously loud foreigner who talks to a camera all day." He laughed and shook his head, "But it doesn't matter to me about what they think about me, 'cause it's just who I am you know? Can't help it."
Atticus twirled his pencil between his fingers, "I'm sure they'll settle it. People always do." he said, the pencil suddenly falling from his fingers and clattering on the desk's wooden surface.
"Denied acceptance? Man, that must be tough. They accepted me right from the beginning, even though I literally had no experience. Maybe it was 'cause my personality was just too weird for them to decline. I am irresistible, after all!~" Atticus grinned, "And you're a third year too? Wow, we have lots of things in common! From America, acting division, third year, roommates... where have you been all my life?!"

"Uhhh..." Hiro just sat there, with an eyebrow raised slightly. He didn't really know what peaked the interest in him; he just sat there, not really sure what to think as his new friend watched him. "Oh, thanks!" He grinned. "Well...I'm not really from America, per-say. I was born in Japan. We moved to the States when I was 5. I practically grew up American. The only thing I kept from Japan was the language; my parents taught it to me at home while I attended public schools for everything else. But America is my second home! I've lived there most of my life...and I plan to go back when I'm done with schooling and can live on my own." He smiled, a few memories from his life in the States came rushing back to him, all of them were good. He wished he could've stayed, but he couldn't leave his dad.
Hiro laughed, "Well, I think you're pretty cool," he grinned, "and funny. I have to make sure to watch some of your videos. Maybe you can show me some when we're back at the dorm?" he asked, smiling.
"I'm sure they'll settle it. People always do." Hiro just nodded his head in agreement, thinking about some of his past arguments with friends and how they turned out, but was pulled out of his thoughts by the sound of the pencil hitting the desk.
"Yeah, it was a little. But I knew I was a good actor, so I didn't quit, and look where I am now!" He raised his arms up swiveling around, looking around the room. "Irresistible, huh?" Hiro laughed. "Well, if you say so." He grinned. "Yup! Which I'm sure means we'll share some other classes, too. I get the feeling we'll be seeing a lot of each other!" He laughed at his roomie's outburst. "Oh, just here and there, and everywhere you weren't, apparently." He chuckled, "Where have you been all of mine??" He asked, sounding over-dramatic, adding a grin at the end.

"Wow, that's really cool!" Atticus exclaimed, genuinely interested in his roommate's back story. "Before I moved here, I've stayed in America all my life. I've always dreamed about other countries and stuff, though. I learned French, Italian, Spanish... learned a bunch of stuff about different cultures -- and this was all from a little house in California that had internet access." he laughed, "I'm glad that I'm here now, though. After I graduate...I want to go around the entire world makin' online videos about my adventures. Sounds pretty fancy, huh?" The blonde's expression was now one filled with awe. God, what a perfect life that would be: free, ready to share the world with everyone who couldn't.
"You think I'm cool? Don't make me blush! And I would love to show them to you! I have videos about exotic Taiwanese animals, videos about annoying kids at my old junior high school... just about everything, really." Atticus cheerfully explained, twiddling his thumbs. The boy just couldn't keep stil. "And, yup! I'm irresistible. At least, that's my goal. Many people say that I have a pretty boy face, but that my personality ruins my 'attractive appearance'. But that doesn't really matter to me."
Atticus smiled again, "You're pretty funny too! Glad you're my roommate." He paused and glanced around the classroom one more time, "...You think anyone else is going to come before the teacher shows up? There's only a few people here..."

Hiromi pushed her glasses back up the bridge of her nose as she held onto her backpack with one hand and dashed to her classroom. She didn't pay attention to the time, and she didn't know which class she was in either... Oh! She was so confused! But then someone pointed out the acting class for her and gave her the directions, so she blessed him and went off. It wasn't her fault though, she just came to Japan after all. She didn't have much time to settle in. She slowed to a fast-paced walk as she neared the classroom, and a million thoughts went through her head. What if they recognized her? What if they thought she was weird? Where would she sit? What kind of people were there? The inward-interrogation went on. Until she actually reached the classroom door. Hiromi took a look at the doorknob, and put a serious expression on her face. This was where something exciting was going to happen. The spokewoman better have been right.
As she opened the door, she muttered a quick sorry to the teacher as she sat down and took her seat behind Atticus. She took in one more deep breath and tried to loosen her nerves. Even though she was a fairly accomplished actress, she couldn't actually calm her nerves in a place like this. Taking a curious glance around the classroom...wow there weren't much people. There were people talking, and the teacher hadn't done anything yet. She assumed she wasn't actually late. Hiromi put down her bag next to her seat and took the chance of everyone talking to each other, to put her arms on the desk and cradle her head. She certainly didn't want to make any contact with the males in front of her. And she prayed, that no one would recognize her as the "Asian Acting Prodigy". She wasn't scared of adoring fans attacking her, she was afraid that people would judge her and ignore her because of her renown. Then she would have no friends throughout her years. Her only disguise was the fake glasses she wore. She, once again, didn't have much time to make a disguise either. So she cut her hair and changed her hairstyle, and put on the fake glasses. If she had more time, she could have done so much more. She groaned and wondered when class would begin. All her self-insecurities were pressuring her.

"French, Italian, and Spanish..." Hiro repeated Atticus, eyes widening, "wow, and I thought it was difficult enough trying to remember the two languages I know!" He said, laughing. "You lived in Califronia? I was always wanting to go there...we lived in New York. It was...cold." He laughed slightly, but really, he was serious. All year round, it was cool. Really cold during Winter, but even during Spring and Summer, it was cool for the hot months. "That is an awesome goal! I'm sure you could make some very interesting videos all around world. It'd be an amazing feat!" He said enthusiastically, and grinned.
"I only say what I think to be true!" He said. It was the truth, though. Not just in this situation, but for all. He was a truthful one, never lied. "Well, if they're anything like the one I saw you making earlier with Ren's scarf, I'm sure they'll be cool." He said, adding a little laugh at the end.
"A goal to be irresistible...that's not one I've heard before." He said, "I don't think your personality ruins your "attractive appearance"...but why should people care? You have a good personality! You're happy, open, considerate...personality is suppose to matter more than appearance. Of course, not everyone believes that." He sighed. Why people care so much about looks, he'll never completely understand.
Hiro laughed, "Glad you're my roommate, too! I think it'll be a fun year!" He said, grinning.
"I'm not sure. A lot of people could just be skipping this class. First day is usually a 'nothing' day." But just as he said that, a girl walked through the door. She was the first person to go through the door since Ayame and Ren left. She walked back and took a seat behind Atticus. "And yet, more keep coming, so maybe this isn't everyone." He added, as the new girl took her seat.
"Hey," he said, talking to the new girl, "I'm Hiro! Welcome to the boredom that is, so far, Acting Class." He smiled, "And who are you?" He extended a hand for her to shake.

"Cold?" asked Atticus. He had never been to New York before, and had only ever stayed in the West Coast area. "It was always either sun or rain in California. It was okay, though. You knew what to expect when it came to weather. And you really think I can do it?" His eyes brightened, "Thanks, Hiro. I really will try my best!"
Atticus merely smiled as Hiro continued to talk. It was nice not having someone shy away from his eccentric way of thinking for once. "Aw, you flatter me too much! I'm going to become conceited now!" Atticus exclaimed, shaking his head. Still, what Hiro said did make the blonde feel better. It wasn't as if he ever had low self-esteem issues, but even a boy like Atticus could use some cheering up.
Just then, a familiar girl walked into the room and sat behind them, looking as if she didn't want to be seen. "Hey, it's you!" Atticus said, swiveling around in his chair so he was no facing the girl, "You met me at the track field yesterday, remember?" he grinned, "Nice to see you in here again! Hardly noticed you, with the glasses and all. You weren't wearing them yesterday."

She kept her head down as they continued to talk about something...French was what caught her ears, the language she always dreamed of learning.
But then as she heard a pause in their speech, she peeked out of the shelter of her arms and looked at the two males in front of her. One of them talked to her, talked to her, now she had no way to escape, unless she wanted to be rude. But that would ruin her reputation and she would have no friends and remain an insociable loser. She put up a smile, inwardly, she was screaming out of nervousness, but kept up a cordial smile nevertheless.
"Hiro, it's nice to meet you." She said and shook his hand gently. You could tell she had an accent. She had the ability to easily lose all knowledge of a language she used for eight years of her life in sixth months. "I'm Hiro--" And then the other blonde turned to her. She flinched at his sudden exclamation at her and inwardly groaned. Why? She asked mentally. It wasn't as if she hated the boys, but she wasn't the most comfortable around them, and did not love to talk to them as much. "Yeah, it's me." She gave a laugh. Well, she wasn't as totally uncomfortable around Atticus. "I remember you clearly." She said, hoping she didn't sound offensive. I mean, seriously, who wouldn't remember someone like him? He was a unique and energetic boy. He really stood out among the serious faces around here.
She pointed to her glasses. "Ah...uh...yeah, I'm far-sighted." Far meant she could see far but couldn't see near, right? Oh wait, if she saw Atticus yesterday...He would probably think the glasses were a lie. She prayed her stupid disguise worked. "I'm glad to be in this class, with you two." She said and smiled--okay, well hopefully she at least became friends with them. "Oh!" She groaned and facepalmed. "I'm so sorry, Hiro. I forgot to introduce myself. I'm Hiromi, just started acting." She was a terrible liar, in truth, but on stage/set she could put on many faces. She was a great actress. She wondered how long she would keep up this facade. That obviously wasn't clearly thought out. Especially since she had no clue how to use the internet, and the fact that it was free to everyone. Well, she didn't expect the two to even know the movies she acted in from because they were usually aimed towards teenage girls. Unless the two actually liked watching romantic movies.

"It's nice to meet you too, Hiromi." Hiro said, smiling. He leaned back in his chair, sitting sideways so he could face the two of them, glad he was against the wall or he would've fallen out of it, and pulled his ponytail around so it was sitting over his shoulder instead of uncomfortably between him and the wall.
"Geez, you both just started acting and got in...I'd been in Drama Club, playing the lead, for years and I got denied...TWICE!" He exclaimed, playfully, throwing his arms up in an 'I give up' manner. Although, he knew why he was denied the first time. Or at least, he had a pretty good guess. A metal arm and leg don't look so well on stage. He was glad he attached his human-like limbs for the first day. Didn't want to freak everyone out the first day. Although, his arm and leg were already getting on his nerves. He kept stretching, hoping it'd go away, but it didn't. He just sighed, and leaned his head back, trying to ignore it.
"So we were just talking about it before you came in...mind if I ask where you're from, Hiromi?" After the conversation he'd shared about origins with Atticus, he was a little intrigued to see what she'd say.

"Glad you remember me." Atticus grinned. It wasn't as if had worried that she wouldn't remember him, but at least it was nice that she didn't forget about him. "Farsighted?" Atticus asked a bit skeptically. Was she really farsighted? "Well, you should wear your glasses the next time you go jogging, then! It'd be a better idea if you know what direction you're going."
Atticus then glanced at Hiro, and couldn't help but laugh a bit at what he said. "I guess you were just unlucky back then, but you're in the department now! That's all that matters." Atticus remained quiet as Hiro started up a conversation with Hiromi. He's stretching a lot, as if something's bothering him. Atticus realized. It really wasn't like the boy to be concerned this much about someone else, but Hiro was going to be his roommate. How could he not be worried?
"Hey, Hiro, you okay?" Atticus asked, "Something seems to be bothering you."

She smiled and nodded respectfully. Now what was it that Kettaro had told her...uh please take care of me? She decided to try on the phrase. "I...hope you'll please take care of me." She wondered what the heck that meant.
She grinned back at Atticus. "How could I?" Well, seriously, he stood out, in a good way. It was hard not to recognize him at all with all the other times she met up with him too. As he inquired skeptically, she blushed in embarrassment. She messed up didn't she? "U-Uh yeah, I lost them that morning so..." She said and smilied, a bit nervously. She bet she sounded so stupid.
Hiromi turned to Hiro. She frowned. Okay, so she told a lie, and he believed her. Now she felt bad. "Ah...but there must have been a reason..! You must be good at acting enough, I don't see why they'd deny you." She said and shook her head.
But then as for asking where she came from..her eyes widened and she perked up in her seat. "I'm from China. The Guangxi Providence specifically, though I don't remember the city...Nanna? Nanni? I moved to Japan when I was eight, because my father had died and my mother made a promise to my father to take me there and raise me in Japan for just as much as she did in China. But then I moved to America for six months." She seemd to ramble for hours, taking a lot of pride into her half-heritage, and smiled. "It's nice to be back here in Japan, but I prefer my hometown in China. Still, Aozora Academy is the best school I've attended yet. What about you, Hiro? I believe Atticus told me he lived in America. He's really good with languages too, it's fascinating." She added and smiled, pointing to Atticus. Though she realized from the start of her coming in, that the boys must have already become friends.
As Atticus asked Hiro if he was okay, she nodded along, agreeing with his question and looked up at him curiously. She didn't want to repeat his phrase like a parrot, and she definitely didn't know him as much, so she didn't want to ask a question if she thought that he thought that he was going to think that she's inconsiderate to new people like him.

"I...hope you'll please take care of me." Hiroya was confused by this. He didn't understand what it meant...at all. He just shook it off, nodded his head and smiled; the uniform thing people do when they don't understand...if they don't want to ask.
China, Japan, and America. Seems like they all had something in common. Seems like it was Hiro's turn to answer the question, "I was originally born here, in Tokyo, Japan. My family moved to America when I was 5 because of my dad's job. Then, 2 years ago, we moved back here...again, because of my dad's job. So I've lived in America for most of my life. It's what I've come to call home, and hope to go back to someday." Hiro grinned, scratching the back of his head and turned towards Atticus, "Sorry to bore you with that all again." He said, chuckling.
There was another break in the conversation, which Hiro used to stretch again. Bad idea. "Hey, Hiro, you okay?" Atticus asked, "Something seems to be bothering you." Hiro inwardly groaned. He didn't want to share what was wrong today and freak anyone out. Everyone would find out tomorrow anyway...he had to find out something to say that was true...without giving it away. He just wanted to enjoy the first day, noone finding him weird. "I'm just sore all over from moving everything around with my dad yesterday. I was hoping stretching would fix everything, but it doesn't seem to be working." He sighed. I hope that was believable. If so, I guess I really am a good actor. "I'll be fine, guys. Really." And with that, he put a smile on his lips. He was at least glad to know they cared.
