Yukine was genuinely curious as to why Kakeru would hide his smile. She thought he had a nice smile so what reason would he have to hide it? He looked surprised when she had asked her question, immediately directing his gaze back to the ground deep in thought. Yukine then inwardly gasped as she realized what she had asked, turning a bit stiff.
"W-Was I not supposed to ask...? What if it's something he doesn't want to say to anyone? Wahh, I let my curiosity get the best of me, again!"[/i] Yukine thought nervously as she stood for a few seconds, mentally scolding herself for potentially ruining her new friendship. She was about to apologize to the boy but then stopped herself when she noticed he was about to speak.
"I-I guess it's because... I-I haven't unin-unintentionally s-smiled in such a l-long time. Es-especially in f-front of som-someone I just met," Kakeru replied, scratching the back of his neck nervously. Yukine was a bit surprised at his reply. She wanted to say something encouraging, something that would hopefully make him feel like he didn't need to feel nervous or awkward around her but she didn't know what. It's been a long time since she had socialized with other people so she had no idea what choice of words to use.
"U-Um...! Well, I-I... uh... I like your smile...!" Yukine had unintentionally blurted it out without thinking. She was shocked at herself of what she had just said. She continued on anyway though, thinking since she already said that, might as well just keep going. Maybe it'll end well. "T-This is the first time I've held a nice conversation with anyone in a long time and uh... I'm really happy that... you agreed to be friends with me... and uh... I would never make fun of you or anything... for something... so uh..." She trailed off towards the end, clasping her hands together in front of her nervously. "You don't need to feel embarrassed if you smile without knowing it in front of me...!" She then quickly added in, her face now as red as a tomato. Yukine looked towards the ground, very embarrassed at the short speech she had just given, while she waited for a reply.
ooc;; yeah it always takes me so long just to think of replys and then typing them out;; ahhh writer's block, I hate that lol

"U-Um...! Well, I-I... uh... I like your smile...!" That statement shocked Kakeru to the bone. Did she really like his smile? Knowing that the girl in front of him wouldn't lie, Kakeru flushed red at her outburst. Yukine didn't seem to notice though, as she hurriedly continued. "T-This is the first time I've held a nice conversation with anyone in a long time and uh... I'm really happy that... you agreed to be friends with me... and uh... I would never make fun of you or anything... for something... so uh..." He watched as the girl seemed to trail off as she nervously clasped her hands together in front of her.
Kakeru was completely bewildered now. 'So this was the first time in a long time she had held a nice conversation?' Kakeru started to get extremely flustered at that thought, because it wasn't someone normal who she had held her first nice conversation in a long time with, it was Kakeru Shizuma that she held it with. A master at being a klutz, becoming nervous and flustered easily, and someone who usually never spoke above a whisper. How could she have a nice conversation with him? The only good thing about him, he himself thought; at least, was that he was nice.
"You don't need to feel embarrassed if you smile without knowing it in front of me...!" Yukine quickly added as Kakeru watched as her face, once again, glowed red while she diverted her eyes to the ground. It was then, that Kakeru knew Yukine meant ever single word she said to him through out their entire meeting. Kakeru knew that she was just as nervous as him when speaking aloud to someone and he absentmindedly let a small smile peek over his lips. 'I know I can trust her,' he decided as he opened his mouth to mumble out his next words.
"I-I trust you, Y-Yukine... A-And I'm glad t-that you d-don't m-mind i-if I s-smile, a-and that y-you l-like it too," Kakeru paused his soft mumbles as shifted uncomfortably with his gaze on the floor. "I'm glad... T-That y-you and I-I became friends b-because you seem like a-a-a won-wonderful person," he finished softly. Kakeru let his eyes dart upwards to see Yukine's next reaction. A soft red tinted his cheeks as he waited.
ooc; Exactly what I do too! And sometimes when I have no idea what to reply I procrastinate replying and feel bad because I can't think of anything good. Agreed. It total ruins my day every single day D:

Yukine couldn't believe that she had just blurted all of that out. Honestly, she meant every word she said, but it was still a bit embarrassing to actually say all that out loud. Her eyes darted everywhere except for at Kakeru, too nervous to look at him in the face. Once she had calmed down a bit and the blush partially subsided, she took a glance at the opposite of her just in time to see him let out a small smile.
"I-I trust you, Y-Yukine... A-And I'm glad t-that you d-don't m-mind i-if I s-smile, a-and that y-you l-like it too," He softly mumbled then paused as he gazed at the floor. Yukine inwardly sighed in relief that Kakeru was glad that she what she said. It kind of made her feel like the embarrassment was kind of worth it.
"I'm glad... T-That y-you and I-I became friends b-because you seem like a-a-a won-wonderful person," Kakeru continued as he looked Yukine in the face with a light blush tinting his cheeks. Yukine gave a wider smile, happy that he was glad to be her friend and that he trusted her. She was happy that she had taken the courage to try and speak to the boy in front of her, resulting in her making a true friend. A type of friend she hasn't had in years.
"I... I'm truly glad that we became friends, too...!" She replied happily, blushing slightly. "Thank you... for taking the time to talk to me. I know I can trust you too...!" Her smile never left her face as she spoke. She felt like she didn't have to be scared to talk if it were with Kakeru.
ooc;; ikr! I always feel bad when I make another person wait when I can't think of something to reply with;; Yeah, writer's block is the worst! orz;;

The first thing that Kakeru saw was her smile. Inwardly, he let out a sigh of relief. She hadn't frowned or scoffed at what he had confessed to her. Yukine had given him a smile. An absolutely genuine smile to his reply. She truly did think of them as friends like he did.
"I... I'm truly glad that we became friends, too...!" Kakeru heard her reply happily while a blush graced her cheeks slightly. "Thank you... for taking the time to talk to me. I know I can trust you too...!" Kakeru noticed that her smile was permanent on her lips as she spoke. Never once did it fade away. He knew she was starting to feel more comfortable around him, instead of being absolutely nervous. He was glad that Yukine was able to be more comfortable around him, and that she too was happy that they became friends. He was especially ecstatic that she trusted him too.
"I'm g-glad you t-trust me too... And y-you don't ha-have to thank m-me fo-for speaking t-to you. I-It was m-my pleasure," Kakeru whispered meekly as he glanced to the side. He truly was glad that he had a friend as sweet as Yukine.
ooc; Exactly how I feel! And sorry this was so short. Writers block was being a total jack ass.

"I'm g-glad you t-trust me too... And y-you don't ha-have to thank m-me fo-for speaking t-to you. I-It was m-my pleasure," The boy replied with a meek whisper, turning his head to glance to the side. Yukine covered her mouth as she gave a small laugh. She wondered what others would have probably thought if they were to have walked by and overheard they're conversation.
"Haha... I bet if someone were to walk by, they'd think we were weird," She said, giggling. They were practically confessing to each other about how they liked being each others friend and whatnot. She was a bit embarrassed, but didn't mind it. It was fun talking with Kakeru.
"Standing in this hall all day talking sounds great and all but was there somewhere you were heading before I bumped into you?" She said, without pauses at all this time. She really was getting used to Kakeru's presence around her and the fact that she trusted him, helped her to speak more comfortably.
ooc;; lol no it's fine! I don't mind at all! c:

"Haha... I bet if someone were to walk by, they'd think we were weird," Yukine giggled lightly. Kakeru felt almost like chuckling along with her. She was right. This conversation was odd, and had someone walked by that might think they were weird for confessing that they liked being each others friends. Or they might mistake them for confessing their love for each other. Who knows.
After letting a lighthearted sigh pass through his lips, a small smile formed on them. Although their conversation was incredibly odd, Kakeru liked talking to Yukine. She was sweet and everything she said was genuine. It was of course though, the said girl's voice that brought him out of his thoughts.
"Standing in this hall all day talking sounds great and all but was there somewhere you were heading before I bumped into you?" Yukine said, and Kakeru noticed she hadn't paused once. Unlike when they had first met. Realization dawned on Kakeru though, as he remembered that he had been planning on going to the library before Yukine had accidentally bumped into him.
"Oh yeah... I-I was g-going t-to go t-t-to the library... Where w-were you h-heading, Yukine?" Kakeru asked lightly. A soft blush made it's way across his cheeks, like usually when he spoke. Although, the blush wasn't as dark as it usually was. Maybe Yukine did make Kakeru a little less nervous?
ooc; If you say so. I just felt bad because it took me forever to write and it was three crappy little paragraphs ;A;

The black-haired girl felt her happiness double when she noticed that Kakeru was now smiling without trying to hide it in front of her. He also seemed to feel a little less nervous than he had previously. Yukine considered this as a sign that he was also starting to feel more comfortable around her.
"Oh yeah... I-I was g-going t-to go t-t-to the library... Where w-were you h-heading, Yukine?" He replied in answer to her question. It was then that she remembered about how she was trying to find her way to the dorms but ended up in the hallway instead.
"O-Oh, do you like the library?" Yukine asked. The library was one of her more favorite places to visit. She liked books and the library was always quiet and didn't have very many people there.
"H-haha... I was actually trying to get to the dorms..." She said laughing nervously, pointing to the small suitcase on the ground beside her. "I... I kind got lost... on my way there..." She said looking to the side, a light blush appearing on her cheeks from embarrassment at the fact that she got lost. She hoped that Kakeru didn't think of her as childish because of it but then again, she actually was slightly childish in some aspects. Like the fact that she hated when people kept secrets from her.
ooc;; Nah, I don't mind. I did the same thing before too after all;;

"O-Oh, do you like the library?" Yukine asked Kakeru lightly. Before he could reply though, Yukine seemed to remember Kakeru had asked her where she had been heading, which caused her to forget she asked Kakeru a question as she replied to his earlier question. "H-haha... I was actually trying to get to the dorms..." Kakeru heard Yukine laugh nervously while pointing to something. Moving his eye's in the direction she pointed, Kakeru saw a small suitcase sitting next to Yukine. "I... I kind got lost... on my way there..."
Kakeru watched as Yukine looked to the side with a slight blush on her cheeks from what he reasoned, was embarrassment. He had suffered enough of it, to realize when someone was feeling it. Before he could stop himself though, he was letting out a lighthearted laugh at how ironic their situations were. They had both gotten lost on their way to their destination. Although Kakeru hadn't told Yukine that yet.
Raising his hand to cover his face he stifled the giggles that wanted to come out, Kakeru let a light blush flood over his cheeks as he smiled at Yukine. "Ironically," He whispered lightly as his eyes met Yukine's. "I got lost too."
Kakeru quickly raised his hand to scratch the back of his head nervously as he refocused his eyes on the ground. Shock set in at what he had just done. Kakeru had just laughed. And he hadn't laughed in front of his older sister or father, he had laughed in front of a stranger he was now friends with. How could he simply just let himself laugh, without feeling embarrassed? Kakeru had felt a new type of happiness when he laughed, instead of complete embarrassment or the feeling of being flustered. And then, Kakeru realized he hadn't stuttered at all when he spoke to Yukine. It was then, that Kakeru's face went extremely hot and red as he instantly turned his head to the side to hide from Yukine's view.
He hoped deeply that Yukine didn't think of him as a 'creep' now.

Yukine quickly turned her back to look at Kakeru when she heard him begin to laugh but held them back by covering his mouth. She was a bit embarrassed, her blush darkening a bit, thinking that he might have been laughing at her until he had spoke.
"Ironically, I got lost too." He whispered, Yukine's eyes meeting his. She smiled again and let out another giggle as the other black-haired boy quickly raised his hand to scratch the back of his head nervously, directing his attention back to the floor deep in thought.
"Haha, then I guess we match. We're both lost children," She said. It was then that she noticed his face turned red as he quickly turned his head to look to the side in a way that she wasn't able to see his face. She assumed that it was due to the embarrassment that he was also lost. It was at that moment when she realized that Kakeru hadn't stuttered when he spoke to her and that this was the first time that he had truly laughed in front of her.
"I have a map if you want to take a look at it," Yukine continued happily as she raised the folded piece of paper up for him to see.

Yukine's voice and words were what made him freeze in surprise. Still with his head turned away from Yukine, Kakeru let the blush on his face grow an even deeper red. Her words replied in his head, as his jade green eyes were locked on the floor. "Haha, then I guess we match. We're both lost children," Those words couldn't be truer. They were a perfect match. Friend wise, at least. Both Yukine and Kakeru had a been lost when they found each other. It was pure coincidence, but it was a good coincidence in Kakeru's mind.
"I have a map if you want to take a look at it," Yukine's voice continued in a very happy tone. Kakeru once again couldn't help but let a small smile come over his face. Turning his head back so he could see Yukine, Kakeru saw that she had raised her hand with a folded piece of paper. He remembered the piece of paper had been the one thing she hadn't stuffed into her messenger bag when she was picking up her belongings after she had fallen over. Kakeru nodded his head while his eyes trailed from the folded paper back to Yukine.
"I... I would a-appreciate t-that," Kakeru replied in a soft tone. He bit his lip lightly as he was uncertain as to if he should raise his hand to gesture at seeing the map or not. He wasn't use to interacting with people so much, so he had no idea as what to do now in his current situation.

"I... I would a-appreciate t-that," Kakeru said as he bit his lip, unsure of what to do next. Yukine knew what it felt like to not know what to do in this sort of situation considering she was the same way. She didn't like people before and usually felt more comfortable when she was alone. She had avoided human contact from people other than her family in order to stay in the comfort and safety of her small world. Staying in her own shell afraid that if she let people in, they would only hurt her.
But, Yukine had decided when she declared her dream of wanting to become a singer that she would overcome that fear of people. To step out of her small, confined world in order to fulfill her dream. And now, she was talking properly with a person making her one step closer to what she wants to do.
"H-Here you go..." Yukine said softly as she unfolded the piece paper and gently placed it in Kakeru's hand. She directed her attention to the ground with a light blush forming on her cheeks. When she had realized how open she was in front of her newly found friend, it kind of made her feel slightly embarrassed.

"H-Here you go..." Kakeru was caught off guard when the girl had gently pressed the map into his hand before her hand had quickly retreated away. Looking up at Yukine, he saw that a light blush grazed her cheeks as she stared at the ground. He had not expected Yukine to do that, but was overwhelmed quickly with gratitude towards her. The girl could tell that he had no idea what to do, and she had taken over the situation and handled it with ease, and a slight bit of embarrassment.
Kakeru knew that Yukine could help incredibly with getting Kakeru out of his shy shell, and he had a feeling that he could help her too, somehow. Swallowing lightly, Kakeru nodded his head. "Thank you, Y-Yukine. I-I... appreciate it v-very much," he mumbled lightly. After awkwardly looking back up to Yukine, and then down to the opened map, Kakeru swiftly took a glance at the map to see if he could recognize where he was. Once he located where Yukine and him both were, he easily found the quickest way to the library for him. Which ironically was only two hallways down to the left.
He gently folded the map back up after remembering where he was supposed to head and extended his hand out with the map inside, to Yukine. A light blush covered his cheeks as he quickly got embarrassed with the somewhat awkward situation. Letting his gaze return to the ground, Kakeru replied softly. "T-Thank you... Once ag-again...Yukine."

"Thank you, Y-Yukine. I-I... appreciate it v-very much," Kakeru mumbled in reply as he looked towards her then back down to the map, scanning through it to find their current location and the quickest route to his destination. After he was done, he folded the map back and held it out towards her, softly thanking her for lending him the map.
"Ah, N-No, you don't have to thank me. I just happened have the map with me since... I kind of expected that I'd get lost" Yukine replied back, taking the folded sheet of paper from his hand. She fiddled with the piece of paper nervously.
"Um, so... m-maybe we could... talk again... sometime...?" She asked hesitantly, the light blush returning to her cheeks. Yukine knew they were probably going to part ways soon since Kakeru knew the way he needed to go now and had no reason to stay anymore. Since she didn't know if they had they're lessons during the same time, she wasn't sure when they would run into each other again. It made her feel slightly downhearted since he was the first person she was able to become friends with so far.
ooc;; sorry for taking so long! orz;; should we end the thread since they both seem to be leaving soon? :c

"Ah, N-No, you don't have to thank me. I just happened have the map with me since... I kind of expected that I'd get lost" Yukine stammered back nervously as she gently took the map from Kakeru's grasp. Kakeru remained silent, not sure of what to say to the black haired girl in front of him. Somehow, the atmosphere gave off the feeling as if they were going to depart from each others presence soon, and he honestly felt even more nervous and uncomfortable with said atmosphere. Kakeru honestly wanted to stay and talk to the girl even more, but he knew she should be getting along to where she had originally planned on going.
A few seconds after Yukine got her map back, Kakeru noticed that the girl seemed to fiddle lightly around with the map nervously. "Um, so... m-maybe we could... talk again... sometime...?"
Kakeru watched as the light blush returned to her cheeks. Before he knew what he was doing, the boy firmly nodded his head. The slight feeling of being flustered crept through him as he mumbled his reply. "I-I... I would l-love t-talking w-with you a-again Yukine... You're... a great friend." He turned his head to the left as a blush invaded his cheeks after saying those words. Hopefully, they would run into each other again. Kakeru couldn't bare the thought of never seeing a friend as wonderful as the one in front of him again, even though, this was their first meeting.
ooc; You didn't take long at all! ogibeogiergneorigo it was me who took forever //sob. Anyways, sadly, I must say that we should end the thread, because they are both leaving soon. So once you reply, I'll reply again and that will be the end of it, if you're fine with that. If you want though, we can start up another thread. Up to you, of course~ ...

As soon as Yukine had asked her question, Kakeru had given the girl a firm nod. "I-I... I would l-love t-talking w-with you a-again Yukine... You're... a great friend." He said turning his head to the side once again, with another blush rising on his face.
Hearing Kakeru's reply made all the worries that the girl had, fly away as quickly as they had come. She felt relieved that he didn't mind seeing her. That he didn't mind talking to her. That he thought of her as a great friend. Today had been full of many firsts for Yukine and the fact that she had made a great friend made her glad that she had taken the courage to enroll into the academy.
"T-Thank you...! I think that you're a great friend too!" She said, speaking up a bit louder than she usually did. "U-um... I'll see you later then...?" Yukine said, or more like asked, as she looked towards the boy, a small smile gracing her features.
ooc;; yeah, that's fine with me c: asdaj I'd love to start another thread with you~ I can try and start it since you started this one. where do you think we should have it at?
