Characters: Hiroya Kouno and anyone else interested! Time: 9:00am Location: Tennis/Volleyball Courts
Hiro awoke early in the morning for a day he only had classes in the afternoon. He didn't know what to do with his time. He didn't feel like reading or watching TV. Instead, he got up and threw on some red shorts, a plain white shirt and put his hair up in a ponytail. He slipped on some ankle socks and plain white tennis shoes. He reached into one of the boxes of random stuff and pulled out his tennis racket. It had been a while since he'd practiced, so he figured he'd go play a bit.
He walked out the front door of the dorms. It was a beautiful sunny day, but it had some cold to it as a swift breeze blew through. The sun was shining off his metal arm and leg, he figured since it was his second day, he could go ahead and show his true self.
After a moment of feeling the breeze, he took off jogging for the tennis courts. As he approached, he saw a few students playing Volleyball in the area next to the Tennis courts. He paused for a moment and watched. Each team, proving formidable, only letting a couple points make it through for each team in the few minutes he watched.
He went back off towards the Tennis courts, setting up a machine to test him. When it was ready, he went over to his position and prepared himself for the onslaught of tennis balls that were about to come his way. The machine started off easy, shooting straight ahead, making Hiro barely have to move to knock them back. Perfect hits. Then, the turret started turning, making him run halfway across the court to hit the balls, missing them every so often.
The machine turned off after a few minutes, allowing Hiro to quit, or take a break...whichever he chose. He went over and set the machine back up, taking his position yet again and preparing himself for yet another barrage.

Opening the end of the wrapper that contained the small candy, Kakeru continued to walk as he grabbed one of the Reese's from inside the orange package. The small pieces of heaven were really Kakeru's only favorite candy. The boy had been up since five am, due to not being able to sleep, and believed he thoroughly deserved the chocolate because not only had he just endured the class he despised the most at an hour that no on should be up at to learn, he had also stumbled into the class late. Which meant awkward stares, a peeved teacher and a flustered Kakeru.
Sighing, Kakeru popped the chocolate into his mouth wondering if he would somehow embarrass himself even more today. He looked up to see where he was aimlessly wandering, and noticed that he had ended up near the Tennis and Volleyball courts. Having never been to this side of the academy, the boy let his feet take him closer to the courts.
As Kakeru got closer, he noticed that while there were plenty of people in the the Volleyball courts, there was only one on the Tennis courts. With out knowing what he was doing, Kakeru slowly started to walk closer to the Tennis court. He was absolutely infatuated at the fact that who ever it was playing on the Tennis court, was playing alone. When he got even closer, he noticed that the person who was playing was an older looking teenager who had lemon colored hair that was pulled up into a ponytail. Kakeru watched from the doorway of the Tennis court, with great interest as they teenager played intensely against a machine that was shooting tennis balls at him.
After the machine stopped shooting tennis balls at the lemon hair colored guy, Kakeru was curious as to whether or not he would continue playing. Thinking that the teenager was going to stop playing, Kakeru lost interest and was about to walk away from the opened door that led into the Tennis Court when he saw the guy walk back to the machine to set up for another round. It was then, that Kakeru noticed the older teenager had an arm and a leg that were each both made out of metal.
Wow, Kakeru thought as he watched the older teenager, I wonder how he's not afraid of people looking at him oddly with a metal arm and leg. Watching the guy play tennis with absolute astonishment, Kakeru absentmindedly leaned against the doorway into the Tennis Court.
(OOC; I meant to reply to this right after you posted it but I got side tracked ;_;)

Hiro wanted to try something different this time. While he waited for the machine to begin firing the grassy green spheres, he shifted his racket to his left hand. While he was better at playing with his right, if he wanted to try out for the team, he needed to be good with an arm that wasn't metal. Using it would be kinda...cheating. And, while he was a little upset that he might have to pass on the team because of something that was out of his control, he did understand. So he had to train his left arm if he even wanted a shot.
He hit the first few, I mean really, who couldn't. They're in the same spot every time. But once the machine started aiming to the sides, even just a bit, he started missing. He'd hit one every so often, but it started speeding up, and his hit/miss ratio went on a steep decline.
The last ball the machine shot was aimed far off to the right, Hiro's left. He dashed over, determined to hit this one, but he overshot the distance and landed himself right in front of the ball. He didn't even notice it until the fast moving orb hit him right in the chest. It wasn't going fast enough to hurt too bad, but it did knock the wind out of him and still cause him some pain. After being hit, he clutched the targeted area with his right hand and fell to his knees. "Shit. I didn't know practice would hurt so bad..." he thought, his eyes squeezed tightly shut.

Rei had finally figured out the school well enough to take some time for himself. He decided that a sport with great movement would be a good choice and he hadn't played tennis in years.
As he approached the tennis court he saw a young boy staring toward the court. Curious what he was looking at, Rei quietly moved to a point where he could see what the boy was looking at.
He watched the older blonde boy playing against the machine and smiled. 'that's one determined kid.' he thought. But when he saw the ball hit the kid in the chest, he couldn't help but laugh.
Hoping that didn't give him away to the other boy he quickly walked toward the tennis court, attempting to play it off as though he wasn't watching. When he reached the court, the boy was on his knees gripping his chest. Rei frowned with concern. "Hey kid...you alright there? Didn't hit you too hard did it?"

Kakeru was surprised that the older teenager had switched the racket to his left hand instead of his right. He watched curiously, wondering if the older boy was just as good with his left hand as he was with his right. At first, it appeared to Kakeru that he was, but once he saw the machine speed up in shooting the green tennis balls, it was obvious that the teenager wasn't as good with his left hand.
He noticed that the older male would hit one of the spheres every once in a while, but most of them he missed. Although, Kakeru was still impressed. He was able tell that the teenager was putting everything he had into trying to hit the tennis balls.
It was a bit shocking to Kakeru though, when he watched the teenager rush over to what seemed like the last ball that came out of the machine. It wasn't shocking that he had rushed over, it was shocking that the ball had hit the older teen square in the chest. Kakeru watched silently as the older teen clutch at his chest as he sank to his knees from most likely pain.
There was the sound of feet slapping against the ground, and Kakeru turned his head to see someone was approaching the teenager on the ground. "Hey kid...you alright there? Didn't hit you too hard did it?"
Wh-Who... is that? Kakeru wondered lightly. Before he knew it, Kakeru unintentionally started to walk over to the teenager on the ground and the man who had asked him if he was alright. Feeling his cheeks start to get warm, he did something he normally wouldn't do.
"E-Excuse m-me sir... b-but is he al-alright?" Kakeru meekly asked.

Rei was helping the blonde boy up when the younger one approached them. "E-Excuse m-me sir... b-but is he al-alright?" Rei was a little startled by the voice and looked in the direction it came from immediately.
"Huh? Yeah, he'll be fine. The shot just got him off guard. Just needs a moment to catch his breath." He smiled, attempting to relieve the boy of any concern as he helped the blonde one to a nearby bench.
"Alright there ya go. Take a moment to catch your breath." He sat down next to the boy and let out a deep sigh. "Well, you sent me for quite the scare there...so what are your names anyway?" He glanced at the younger boy, showing that the question was directed toward both of them.

Hiro couldn't exactly answer the questions, he couldn't fill his lungs with enough air to talk, only breathe...heavily. He did, however, find enough energy to stagger himself to his feet, and with the help of the teacher, he made his way over to a bench. He saw a younger guy approach and ask about him, Hiro would've smiled, it his face wasn't still showing pain. He took deep breaths, just trying to get his breathing back to normal...and he did, slowly.
"Well, you sent me for quite the scare there...so what are your names anyway?" The older man who helped him asked. By now, the only thing Hiro could feel the was the pain; his breathing was practically regular. "I'm Hiroya, but you can just call me Hiro. Thanks for the help, mister." Hiro smiled slightly, even though it looked weak through the bit of pain still left.
He shifted his gaze to the younger kid, "And thanks for the concern. Didn't mean to scare either of you." His eyes looked back down to the ground, hunching over, hoping the pain would subside momentarily.

"Huh? Yeah, he'll be fine. The shot just got him off guard. Just needs a moment to catch his breath." The older man shot Kakeru a smile as Kakeru watched him help the blonde teenager to a nearby bench. Hesitantly, Kakeru followed just to make sure the older teen was indeed fine and the words came out of his own mouth.
Kakeru heard the other man say something to the older teen that he couldn't quite catch before he let out a deep sigh. "Well, you sent me for quite the scare there...so what are your names anyway?" Once the older man glanced at Kakeru, it dawned on him that the question was meant for him too. Not only the injured teen.
Kakeru nervously waited for the older teen to answer the man's question first. He was honestly too flustered to say anything at that point. "I'm Hiroya, but you can just call me Hiro. Thanks for the help, mister." There was a weak smile on Hiro's face as he turned to look at Kakeru. "And thanks for the concern. Didn't mean to scare either of you."
Watching Hiro hunch over, Kakeru meekly decided to answer the question. "I-I'm Ka-Kakeru Shizuma... A-And I just w-wanted to make su-sure you w-were alright, Hiro," Kakeru softly replied. While he had been speaking, he had turned his head away out of pure embarrassment. Why was he always so bad with introductions?

Rei frowned when he saw Hiro hunch over in pain again. But a smile came across his face again when he saw how embarrassed Kakeru was to introduce himself. "Well, I'm Mr. Renjiro, the new mathematics teacher. It's a pleasure to meet you both."
He leaned back in the bench and sighed. He came to play tennis and now he's being a doctor, which he wasn't trained or hired for. "So you think you're alright Hiro, or do you need to go to the nurse?" He looked at the spot-of-impact on Hiro's chest and he could tell that it was going to be bruised in the morning.

Hiro was looking at the ground, smiling, as Kakeru introduced himself, but he lifted his gaze when he went to speak, "Well, thanks buddy. I think I'll be fine." Why is he looking away? Hiro pondered to himself, but what pulled out of his thoughts when the older man started talking again.
"Well, I'm Mr. Renjiro, the new mathematics teacher. It's a pleasure to meet you both." The man said. "MATH TEACHER?!" Hiro shouted, sitting straight up, "Ow..." he added, clutching his chest and hunching over again. Bad idea... he thought. He tried sitting back up again, slower this time, and he was fine. "Well, to let you know, I may fail your class." Hiro said, laughing slightly. "But it's a pleasure to meet you, too, Mr. Renjiro."

"Well, thanks buddy. I think I'll be fine." Hiro told Kakeru. He lightly blushed as he scratched his neck nervously. In all honesty, he wanted nothing more but to slink away from the two. He was completely nervous with the situation right now.
"Well, I'm Mr. Renjiro, the new mathematics teacher. It's a pleasure to meet you both." Having heard Mr. Renjiro tell them he was the math teacher, Kakeru watched slightly curious as Hiro sat straight up and suddenly exclaim 'math teacher' in a voice mixed between shock and questioning. Kakeru listened as he turned his head to look to the side as Hiro said something about 'failing his class' and 'it's a pleasure to meet you.'
Turning his head slightly back to look back at Mr. Renjiro, Kakeru let his eyes met his, before returning them to the ground. "I-It's a pl-pleasure to m-meet yo-you too, Mr. Re-Renjiro," he meekly mumbled as he started intently at the ground. Kakeru shifted uncomfortably once again as he looked back up at Mr. Renjiro and Hiro.

Rei busted out laughing at Hiro's reaction to him being the math teacher. When he finally calmed down he looked at him and smiled. "Well, lucky for you, it's my job to make sure you pass my class."
As Kakeru spoke, he didn't make eye contact and was rather shifty. Rei could tell he didn't want to be in the spotlight all that much, he made a mental note to try to break him from that habit. "It's okay Kakeru, I promise I don't bite and, although Hiro here may look intimidating with the metal limbs and all...just throw a tennis ball at him and you'll be okay." Rei looked at Hiro and grinned. Maybe it was too soon to be making jokes about it, but he thought he would at least try to lighten the mood a little.

Hiro sighed. "Well then, you have a pretty tough job ahead of you." He said, chuckling. But he wasn't lying. He was horrible at math...and only passed previous years because of some friends who were great tutors.
Kakeru spoke up, in a sense. He was so quiet, you almost couldn't hear him. "It's okay Kakeru, I promise I don't bite and, although Hiro here may look intimidating with the metal limbs and all...just throw a tennis ball at him and you'll be okay." Rei said, grinning. Hiro shot him a glare, and starting an obviously fake laugh. "You're so funny, Mr. Renjiro."

Rei told Kakeru while grinning. Kakeru's eyes went immediately towards Hiro to see his reaction to the statement, and he saw Hiro glare at Rei before he laughed. The laugh though, Kakeru could tell, seemed a bit to him like it was forced and fake.
"You're so funny, Mr. Renjiro." Hiro said, and Kakeru felt uncomfortable with the conversation at hand. Letting his gaze wander to the ground, Kakeru nodded his head.
"A-Alright," He mumbled staring intently at the ground. "T-Thanks f-for the... uh... a-advice, Mr. Renjiro," Kakeru nervously shifted as he looked back up towards his two companions, to see the their replies.

"You're so funny, Mr. Renjiro."
"Yeah! I think so anyway." He replied, still grinning.
"T-Thanks f-for the... uh... a-advice, Mr. Renjiro,"
"Yeah, anytime." Rei said with a chuckle. "So Kakeru, what do you think of math? Seeing as how Hiro is apparently an utter failure at it, I'm hoping you'll do better than him right?" Rei said, trying to get the poor boy comfortable with speaking to him.
