Kakeru seemed to be surprised when Hinata had asked him the same question back, which didn't really surprise him as much by now. He watched the boy as he seemed to be deep thought. Hinata assumed he was thinking about how to answer this question as well.
“It was simple,” The boy had muttered, scrunching his nose up. Hinata nodded slowly, continuing to watch Kakeru as he waited for him to continue. He looked like he was thinking back on his past memories, but Hinata thought they probably weren't too bad since the black-haired boy didn't look angry or hurt or sad or any other negative emotion as he remembered things about his life.
“It wa-wasn’t e-exactly nor-normal… Just… Simple. I-I went to s-school to learn, and t-then went ho-home to do my ho-homework and pra-practice the cello m-most days. I-I didn’t have a-any fr-friends so I di-didn’t h-have to worry a-about socializing…” Kakeru continued, looking to the floor and bringing a hand up to his hair.
“B-But like y-you, I-I have a s-sister. T-The only difference is t-that sh-she’s older th-than me a-and often dr-dragged me to some r-random place during s-some of t-the mo-most insane h-hours,” When Kakeru had smiled as he thought of his sister, Hinata knew that the other boy also loved his sister very much, just like he did. It made him also let a small, soft smile creep up on his face. “B-But that’s pretty much it” Kakeru looked back to Hinata and nodded his head his head.
Hinata gave a short laugh when Kakeru had finished his own life story. "I see." He said before, looking to the ground. "...You're life sounds like it was nice." Hinata closed his eyes, speaking softly. "To be honest... I kind of wish I had a simple life like yours."
Hinata then immediately turned back to the other boy with a grin. "What was your older sister like? What were some of the places she took you at odd hours, if you don't mind telling?" He asked curiously, leaning forward from his seat on the bed. "Ah, remember, feel free to ask me questions too, if you have any." His grin widened a bit as he waited for Kakeru to answer.
