Character(s): Arlette Yuen-Winchester, Ren Yukio Time: 7pm Location: Rooftop
(OOC: yay lame titles because i can;t title)
The sky was beginning to darken, the glowing sun sinking behind the horizon, letting dusk set in. Arlette leaned against the railings, and she could see the stretch of the city by sunset. It was beautiful to be out here, but Arlette was alone. The September breeze blew into her face, and in reply, she pulled her scarf closer to her.

Ren yawned and stretched his arms as he was on his way to go to the rooftop to get some fresh air. Homework was really killing him - and a few breaks wasn't going to hurt, right? As Ren opened the door, he saw a girl admiring the sunset. "Great." He muttered. There was not one moment he's ever been alone on the rooftop - there was always someone, someone to come along and annoy him.
He ran his fingers through his hair, irritated - "Hoy! You!" He shouted. "It's 7pm, go away. Don't girls have stuff to do around this time?" He growled as he approached her.

At the sound of the growl -a boy's, for sure-, Arlette whipped around to see a dark-haired boy approaching , who did not look pleased at the sight of her.
"It's 7pm, go away. Don't girls have stuff to do around this time?
Arlette instinctively grit her teeth, and curled her hand into a tight fist. "Why should I?" Arlette started calmly, but at the end of the sentence, her voice morphed into a near-snarl. "What exactly am I -as a girl, of course- supposed to be doing?" The words spilled out of her mouth, as she eyed the boy warily, locking eyes.

Ren shrugged, "Do I look like a female to you? God." He rolled his eyes as he pointed to the door, "Go. I have no patience for this, I would like to be alone." Ren shouted, "who does this girl think she is?!" he thought to himself.
He had no reason to be mean - to be honest, today he just felt like it. He had a bad day, he had no patience - if anybody got in his way, he was sure to put them in the shittiest mood.

"With a face like that, I wouldn't be sure," Arlette thought, despite not thinking so. But thank god, she did not say that out loud.
Arlette watched the boy pointed to the door, but did not make any indication that she wished to move. "Why should I leave?" Arlette asked challengingly, "this rooftop is public."
Just what is his goddamned problem? Arlette thought, feeling the tension rising in the air.

"Because I'm here. And when I'm here, I want to be alone. Your presence alone is annoying me and putting me in a bad mood" Ren growled as he raised his eyebrows - "Now be a good girl and get the fuck out."
Ren could tell she was thinking absurd things about him - her first impression of Ren probably wasn't the best, but he didn't care. She was a new face, and he wasn't scared to express what he felt.

"Now be a good girl and get the fuck out."
Arlette glared at him, and took a couple of steps forward -closer to him, closer to the door- but did not move to make it to the door. "Just what is your problem?" Arlette challenged, and it felt like walking on a tightrope when she talked to this guy. "If you wanna be alone, why don't you head someplace else?"
It was like setting off a time bomb, Arlette felt, except she had not an idea the time she had left before he exploded.

"Because I like the roof...?" Ren said stupidly, "I wouldn't be here if I didn't like it, no?" He laughed at the fact that she was getting closer to him, and moved out of the way so she had a clear path towards the door. "Ya leaving or not?" He smirked. "By the way, I don't have a problem. I just want to be alone, is that so much to ask?" Ren stared at the girls hair and figure. She was pretty alright, but too bad she was too annoying for him to see past that.

There's not much of a point trying to burn him, or anything, Arlette figured as she walked towards the door, locking eyes with the boy as he gave way to him. He had already gotten on her nerves, and god, it's been a while since she had to deal with an idiot like him.
Quite close to the door, Arlette turned and looked at him once more, "An introduction before I leave. What is your name?"

He raised his eyebrows - "Ren Yukio." He put his hands in his pockets and laughed - "How about you?"
Her sudden interest for his name made him feel a bit awkward, but other then that he didn't even bother. She was going to leave soon, and he'd have time by himself. That's all that mattered.

Honestly, Arlette was a tad shocked that the boy in front of her laughed, even if it was just a little bit. 'Ren Yukio,' she said out loud, testing his name.
She stood up straight and rested one hand on the back of her neck. If he hadn't been like that a few minutes ago, she would have offered him her hand. 'Arlette Yuen,' She hesitated mentioning the second part of her last name, it had always been too long for her, but then added hastily. 'Winchester. Arlette Yuen-Winchester.'
