Character(s): Hikari Amamiya & Isuzu Koyama Time: mid-morning Location: Music Room
It was a clear and cool day, and as Hikari wandered down the grand hallways of Aozora, she found herself walking towards the music room. She reasoned that it must have been her innate response to being a singing major, but deep down, she knew that her feet unconsciously led her to the music room because she was curious if she'd meet another person like Rylen from the other day.
She stopped in front of the doorway. It was closed. She opened it a crack and peeked in. "Hello?" she called. No response. It was empty. Oh well, she thought, maybe if I hang around in here (like a loser), someone's bound to stop by!
And so she went over and sat down in a chair, staring at the slightly ajar door in high hopes that a new face would randomly appear.

Being sick of just sitting around in her dorm room, Isuzu had decided to take her own private tour of school, or more so the music department. Her sense of direction was far from the best, far from even good, so it took quite a well for her to find the right building. By then, her patience had dropped greatly and she was wearing a small annoyed scowl on her features.
Opening the door, the blonde's eyes drifted up from where she was staring at the floor, to inside the room. She blinked a few times when she locked eyes with the girl sitting inside. The idea of just walking came to mind, but she ignored it.
"Sorry," she muttered, taking a few steps back towards the entrance.

Hikari got excited as a new face really did appear in doorway. She flickered her eyes over the new figure. She was pretty; though short, she was also slender and blue-eyed with pretty blonde pigails--much like her own, except they weren't as fluffy since the girl probably didn't layer her hair like Hikari did.
Yes, she was pretty, but there was one small detail bothering Hikari. The girl wasn't smiling. In fact, she looked rather annoyed as a small scowl graced her pretty features and gave her a cold aura. Hikari was slightly scared to even utter a hello; she was afraid of being an annoyance to this girl.
"Sorry."
Just as Hikari was about to suck it up and greet the girl anyway, she had ducked out of the doorway and was making her way back to the hallway. "Ahhh wait no!" Hikari made a feeble attempt to call after all. "You weren't bothering me at all," she said softly. "I was hoping we could get acquainted with each other..." She extended her hand for a handshake. "I'm Hikari," she smiled. "What's your name?"

Because she had ducked out so quickly, Isuzu hadn't gotten the chance to really look at the other girl. One of the things that the orange-blonde often looked at when first meeting someone was their smile, and this girl was indeed smiling. Isuzu herself had never been one to hold her heart out on her sleeve.
"Ahhh wait no!" Upon hearing those words, Isuzu froze and turned back with a rather skeptical look on her face. "I was hoping we could get acquainted with each other..." She couldn't help but quirk an eyebrow. This girl was waiting to meet someone?
Sapphire-grey eyes stared for a few seconds at the hand extended towards her. She rather stiffly raised her arm which hung by her side. Slipping her hand into the other girl's, Isuzu averted her gaze before mumbling the words: "My name's Isuzu."
From what Isuzu saw, this girl looked young. Probably younger than herself. Either that, or she just the other's appearance. Like herself, this girl wore her hair in pigtails and was a lighter shade of blonde. Despite their similarities in appearance, Hikari had a much more youthful aura.
"So is this your first year here?" she asked, pulling her hand away gently.

Hikari froze. Isuzu-san seemed so cold and unwilling to meet her! She never mentioned it to anyone except Usa-chan (after all, it was quite a creepy habit), but she enjoyed to people-watch, and one of the little things she noticed about Isuzu-san was that raised eyebrow, the stiff arm movement, the averted glance, the mumbles. It was as if she was skeptical of something about Hikari, but she didn't know what. Perhaps because they looked somewhat similar? Hikari hoped that that wouldn't be the basis for a rivalry between them or something. After all, she was here to make friends, not enemies! Isuzu-san, however, seemed terrifyingly intimidating and Hikari felt helpless against that.
Hikari realized that if she didn't say anything soon, Isuzu-san would probably lose interest in her and go away. I-I'd like to at least try to be friends, she thought. Okay, let's do this.
"Yeah," she piped rather timidly. "I'm a second-year though. I transferred over as a second year. What..." she hesitated. "...about you?" She smiled shyly again, hoping to break the ice.

Hearing Hikari's words: "I'm a second-year though", Isuzu couldn't stop the flash of anger that appeared in her eyes. It seemed that she was meeting more and more second year vocal students, which also meant she was meeting more and more people that she had to compete against.
It wasn't that Isuzu doubted her vocal skills, no it wasn't that at all; it was that she also knew that there probably will be more talented singers than she, and she was determined to become the very best.
Isuzu made a small noise in the back of her throat of acknowledgement, letting a few seconds past before she spoke. "Same, I'm a second year," she said, allowing her eyes to drift from where they were staring at random patch of flooring to meet Hikari's violet gaze.
"It's just you looked quite young," she commented, forcing her voice casual rather than self-righteous. Isuzu no longer wore her small scowl, but instead wore a mask of indifference.

Hikari cringed. Did Isuzu-san just look angry at her? What did she do wrong?
"O-oh," she replied quietly. "That means we might have classes...together?" Hikari was now unsure of whether that was a good thing or not, given that Isuzu-san clearly didn't like her already. It's just you looked quite young, she had said. Was...she jealous? Hikari hoped not. The last thing she needed was drama at Aozora! As if drama back in middle school wasn't enough...
"Th-thank you!" Hikari replied bashfully, rubbing the back of her head. "I get that a lot. B-but Isuzu...san, you're quite pretty! I thought you were a third year!" Hikari wasn't lying; she really did think that Isuzu-san was pretty, but she felt like she had to compliment her or else she would just stand there scowling all day. Again, Hikari didn't want any drama. "Do you also do any modeling outside of singing?" she inquired curiously. Surely a pretty face like hers had to have been in pictures before...

"That means we might have classes...together?" Hearing those words murmured a small "hmm" in quiet thinking before mumbling, "Most likely so.." It wasn't like she particular minded who was in each of her classes, but it would've been nice if she was able to see a familiar face.
"Do you also do any modeling outside of singing?" Isuzu quirked an eyebrow in disbelief. She knew she was definitely model material; although she did care quiet a lot about her appearance and how she presented herself, she was never really vain about it, nor did she like the attention that would come if she was what society dubbed as beautiful.
"No," she answered simply. "Singing and violin are really the only things I can do well.." she continued quite hesitantly. She didn't really care about the fact that Hikari thought she was older than she was; after all she never really had the chance to be a child, let alone act like one.
"Do you also play an instrument?" she asked, allowing some essence of curiosity to slip into her quiet voice.
