"Yeah, I guess you could say I'm a 'people person.' I don't find my comfort in being alone...I'd rather be with someone, or a group of people. It's too quiet when I'm alone...I can't stand it."
Instead of replying, Kakeru simply watched the blond sitting in front of him. He noticed the blond’s bright smile, and couldn’t help but smile too. Hiro seemed to easily influence the younger boy into smiling without knowing it. Kakeru was sure, that neither of them had noticed their waitress come to the table and place their food down. "Enjoy! And let me know if you need anything!" The waitress said it with a smile, and Kakeru nodded his head as a reply. Though he doubted the waitress saw, seeing as she sped off to serve at another table.
"Man! She's like a ninja!" Hiro said to Kakeru, and the younger of the two could hear the shock in the other’s voice. "But the food sure looks good!" Kakeru nodded in agreement to both statements as he looked down at the cheese burger on the plate in front of him. It did look absolutely mouthwatering. Picking up his burger, Kakeru tentatively took a bite out of the delicious cheese burger. There was silence between the two as they ate, before Hiro suddenly piped up. "Pretty good, if I do say so, myself!" Looking up from his meal, he saw Hiro grin and felt his stomach flip as a blush crossed his face. Jeez, why was he this nervous today? “What do you think, Kakeru?"
Glancing back down at his food Kakeru replied. “I-It’s really g-good actually… I-I’ll prob-probably come b-back he-here again…” Before he could stop himself, the raven haired boy looked up at Hiro and shyly smiled as a dark blushed consumed his cheeks as he continued to speak. “M-Maybe, I-if you w-want, we… We c-could c-come ba-back here together?”

“I-It’s really g-good actually… I-I’ll prob-probably come b-back he-here again…” Hiro just nodded in agreement, not wanting to talk with a mouthful of burger. He grabbed his drink and took another sip to wash it down, thankful the waitress had refilled their cups or he'd be getting nothing but air. “M-Maybe, I-if you w-want, we… We c-could c-come ba-back here together?” Hiro chuckled as a very faint blush rose to his cheeks. "That sounds like a plan to me, buddy." He said with a warm smile.
He remained mostly quiet as he finished his burger in a couple minutes and started picking lightly at his fries, not too hungry anymore. He leaned back in his chair, listening to the music playing in the restaurant. He glanced down at his watch. "Man, it's getting late. I still have to rehearse my lines for acting...we're supposed to go no-scripted tomorrow." He let out a sigh and put a hand to signal the waitress. She rushed over to their table Everything alright? She asked with a smile. "Yes, everything was great. Can we get the check?" He asked, lowering his arm, and smiling back. "Oh, sure!" She pulled out her little pad and ripped off a page. "Here you go!" She handed the slip to Hiro. "Is that all?" She asked, examining the tables around the room. "Yes, thank you." The blonde said, looking over the paper. "Alright. Just pay up front when you're ready." She said, pointing to a guy standing at a register beside the door.
With that done, the waitress rushed off again. Hiro set the check down on the table and pulled out his wallet, grabbing a few bucks for a tip. "Before you can say anything," he said, snatching the paper up, "it's on me." He grinned, getting up from the table.
"So, you ready to go?"

"That sounds like a plan to me, buddy." The moment after the blond said those words and grinned at him, Kakeru looked down. A permanent blush spread across his cheeks. The shy boy said nothing in return, feeling content with the silence and the way that conversation had ended. Besides, Kakeru knew if he did say anything else to Hiro, it would end up being awkward and shy and it would ruin the comfortable atmosphere. So with out saying a word, a smile crossed Kakeru’s face as he picked up his burger and continued to eat in silence.
As he finished his burger, Kakeru heard Hiro say something about it being late and having to rehearse lines for acting tomorrow. The younger of the two didn’t know what to say to that, having no knowledge in how the whole ‘acting’ thing worked. Looking back towards his companion, Kakeru saw that the blond had signaled for the waitress as she rushed over to their table. Hiro and the speedy girl had light conversation as she handed the older male a check. In all honesty, Kakeru really didn’t know why he was watching the blond. It could have been because of the Hiro’s smile, or his warm honey brown eyes, but he didn’t really care at the moment. Kakeru would have continued to stare, had it not been for the check Hiro had set down.
Upon seeing his friend take out his wallet to pay, Kakeru opened his mouth to protest before Hiro cut him off swiftly. "Before you can say anything, it's on me." To say the least, Kakeru was speechless at Hiro’s actions as a maddening blush swarmed his cheeks. The feeling of embarrassment swept through him as he watched Hiro stand up form the table with a triumphant grin.
"So, you ready to go?"
Kakeru quickly nodded his head as he stood up next to the upperclassman. “Y-Yeah,” he mumbled softly. Kakeru towed after Hiro as he paid the guy up at the register. The younger boy was completely lost in thought though. He really didn’t know what to say now. Should he say goodbye and swiftly leave his friend? He quickly scratched that idea out. Kakeru would never admit it, but he really wanted to stay longer in Hiro’s company. He wasn’t sure why, but the older male made him feel comfortable. Scrunching up his nose while he thought, another idea formed. Turning to his friend, Kakeru sharply inhaled before speaking.
“Hiro?…” Kakeru paused as he turned away, a blush forming. He was positive that he should at least say these next words. Hiro had taken him out to dinner, which the blond wasn't obliged to do. Turning his head back to look at Hiro, Kakeru smiled brightly before he spoke his next words.“Thank you”
(ooc; oevrnfgoigvrnori. I am so sorry this is a really crappy and derpy reply Greg. I'm like, half awake right now. ;_;)

As soon as Hiro was done paying the cashier, he turned around towards the door and his friend. “Hiro?…Thank you.” The younger teen said, a bright smile on his face. The blonde grinned back and walked over, opening the door for his friend, and following him out. "It's no problem, Kakeru. It was fun! You saved me from a night alone." He chuckled. As he stepped out into the open, a breeze blew threw. The temperature was a lot lower than it was earlier. He quickly untied his jacket from around his waist and slipped it on.
The boys started walking back towards the park, or in Hiro's case, the dorms...same general direction. The streets were pretty empty; it was getting dark, but the streetlights weren't on yet. Hiro had been walking with his eyes glued to the ground, cheeks slightly red, a little nervous about what he was planning...but he tried to ignore it...for now. He looked over at his friend, walking right next to him, "So, what're you doing now, Kakeru? Back to walking around or are you heading back to the dorms too?"
ooc; Ah, it's fine, Bella! It was a great reply! I love all of your writings. :3

It was silent as the duo walked back towards the park. Though, seeing how it was getting late, Kakeru guessed that Hiro was most likely going back to his dorm to practice his lines for class tomorrow. The younger of the two contemplated staying out to read his book, but remembered clearly the consequences of being caught after curfew. Shivering lightly from the cold and the thought of the punishment, Kakeru decided it would be much safer to just head back to the dorms.
So wrapped up in thought, Kakeru hadn’t taken notice to his friends peculiar behavior. He did however, look over at Hiro once he began to speak. "So, what're you doing now, Kakeru? Back to walking around or are you heading back to the dorms too?"
Crinkling his nose Kakeru replied softly, “I-I think I’ll b-be heading b-back to the dorms too… I-It’s getting la-late and I don’t w-want to be c-caught out after curfew.” He smiled shyly at Hiro as they continued to walk. A slight blush had invaded his cheeks as he watched Hiro from the corner of his eyes, waiting for a reply.

“I-I think I’ll b-be heading b-back to the dorms too… I-It’s getting la-late and I don’t w-want to be c-caught out after curfew.” Hiro had his gaze shifted to the ground, "Oh, right. Can't have you getting in trouble, now can we?" He said, and flashed his friend a grin. When his gaze had shifted, he had caught sight of the younger teen shivering. Without asking, or even thinking, he swiftly removed his jacket and wrapped it around Kakeru's shoulders. "Better?" He asked, a warm smile on his lips, one arm still wrapped around his friend's shoulders.
They were almost back to the park now, lights finally flashing on above them, leaving bright rifts between the patches of darkness. Hiro almost dragged Kakeru back to sit down on the bench they were at earlier. If they didn't have to get back to the dorms, he would've. But he walked lazily on.

"Oh, right. Can't have you getting in trouble, now can we?" Upon hearing Hiro say that and seeing his friend grin, Kakeru blushed heavily as he turned his head to the other side. Why was it the blond made him feel so comfortable while still making him feel completely nervous too? He sighed inwardly, wishing for his older sister. Although she was absolutely odd and annoying sometimes, the raven haired boy knew Hisa would be able to explain to him what he was feeling towards Hiro. Kakeru was suddenly brought out of his thoughts when a soft material hit his shoulders, and turned shocked towards Hiro. "Better?" the older male asked Kakeru, a warm smile on his lips. Kakeru was more than stunned, and simply nodded his head as a reply and thank you as his cheeks flamed red.
It was silent between the two as they were almost to the park now. Once reaching the park, they passed the bench they had been at earlier. Unconsciously, Kakeru’s grip on the book in his hand loosened slightly. If he hadn’t been walking aimlessly around while reading today, he wouldn’t had bumped into Hiro. So in a way, the only reason he had spent the day with Hiro was because of the book.
As the duo approached the dorms, Kakeru turned to Hiro and blushed before speaking. “Al-Although I-I already s-said t-this… Thank you, Hiro. I-I had a… a really n-nice time” His face went beet red as Kakeru looked away from the upperclassman. Mentally, Kakeru face palmed after speaking. He had worded that so awkwardly and he felt completely flustered now because of it. If only he had better social skills, his conversations with Hiro wouldn’t be so… awkward.
