Characters: Hiroya Kouno and Kakeru Shizuma Time: 5:45pm Location: Some restaurant that serves random foods... -insert creative name here- Continued from here.As the duo made their way out of the park, Hiro sort of lead the way, not like he really knew where he was going. He hadn't be through the town yet, but he hoped it didn't show too much. He figured, if there were to be a large section of restaurants, it would be down the main road. Lucky for him, he was right. As they started passing by restaurants, Hiro slowed his walk to a trot so he could see into the restaurants they passed. He slung his left arm around Kakeru's shoulders. "So, do you see a place you'd like to eat at?" He asked, still peering into restaurants, making mental notes of where to stop whenever he decided to eat out again in the school year. He turned his head to the left, so he was looking at Kakeru and smiled, "Come on, anywhere you like! I don't mind."

As Hiro and Kakeru started to pass restaurants, Hiro seemed to slow his pace down and Kakeru followed suit. He hadn't noticed how close he and the blond were standing until the older teenager slung an arm over his shoulder. At the sudden contact, Kakeru profusely blushed and turned his head to the left.
"So, do you see a place you'd like to eat at?" Looking back Hiro for a moment, Kakeru lightly bit his own lip before glancing around. Really, he wasn't quite sure as to where they should eat and it really didn't matter to him. "Come on, anywhere you like! I don't mind." Kakeru saw Hiro smile warmly at him after speaking, and he felt his heart skip a beat. Turning his head to the left as his face turned completely red he quickly tried to forget Hiro's smile and focused his attention to contemplating about where they could dine. After thoroughly thinking through where they could go and not finding an answer, the teen decided to give up
Kakeru nervously turned his head back to look at Hiro and shrugged his shoulders. "I-It r-really doesn't matter t-to me wh-where we go," he mumbled. Kakeru watched as other people walked passed them, smiling and laughing as they did so. "W-Where ever you want t-to go, i-is fine w-with me Hiro."

"I-It r-really doesn't matter t-to me wh-where we go," Hiro heard Kakeru start muttering as he continued to stalk more restaurants. "W-Where ever you want t-to go, i-is fine w-with me Hiro." With that, Hiro suddenly stopped at the restaurant they were standing in front of. "Then we'll eat here!" He said, flashing his friend a grin as he pulled his arm off his friend's shoulder pulled him off towards the restaurant.
As they walked in, it seemed like a casual cafe-type place. A sign at the front said 'Seat yourself' as a waitress greeted them, Hiro just nodded to her in response, looking around. The place was rather empty, only a few tables filled. He walked towards the back, taking a seat a booth against the right wall. As they sat down, the waitress who greeted them came over, "What can I get you boys to drink?" She asked, setting down their silverware and napkins. Hiro quickly grabbed one of the menus sitting on the table a looked for the drinks. "Uhhh...I'll just have a Coke." He said as he passed the menu over to Kakeru.

Right after Kakeru spoke, Hiro stopped abruptly. Kakeru turned his head to look at the blond curiously, wondering what he was doing, but as soon as he opened his mouth to ask, Hiro cut him off cheerfully. "Then we'll eat here!" A look of shock passed over Kakeru’s face as Hiro turned to him and flashed him a grin before tugging Kakeru as he stumbled, to the closest restaurant. His expression suddenly melted from a shocked one to a completely embarrassed one. A blush passed over his cheeks as hid stomach churned. Why was Hiro making him feel so weird? He shook the thought from his mind as the walked into a normal looking café.
Once they walked in, a waitress greeted them lightly but there was a sign that stated to seat yourself. With that being said, Kakeru knew that Hiro would choose where they sat and was quite glad for that. Looking around the place as he obediently followed Hiro to the back of the restaurant, Kakeru noticed that the place was practically empty. He bit his lip nervously as he turned to Hiro, who was about to sit down in a booth. Kakeru sat directly across from the blond teenager as the waitress at the front came over, asking the duo what they would like to drink. "Uhhh...I'll just have a Coke." Hiro told the waitress as he passed a menu towards Kakeru. He gratefully grabbed it as the waitress turned to him.
“And you?[/b] she asked Kakeru lightly with a smile. He blushed as he looked down at the menu. The waitress made him feel uncomfortable and incredibly flustered.
“I-I’ll h-have w-water,” he mumbled. Kakeru flipped through the pages of the menu as the waitress left to go get their drinks and leave them time to decide on what they wanted to order. Looking up at Hiro, a blush still painted on his cheeks, Kakeru tilted his head slightly. “S-So Hi-Hiro… w-what are you going get?”

As the waitress walked away to get their drinks, Hiro looked around the restaurant. It was a nice little place, had some soft music playing. He liked it and would probably come back...depending on the food. He was pulled out of his thoughts when he heard Kakeru speak up, “S-So Hi-Hiro… w-what are you going get?” Hiro looked over at Kakeru, realizing he hadn't even looked at what they had. "Uhhh...I'm not sure." He grabbed the spare menu sitting in the bracket on the edge of the table against the wall and started flipping through the pages.
Nothing really stuck out to him. Then again, a regular cafe, stuff doesn't really stick out. Unless they have their own signature dish, it's normally your everyday food you could get anywhere. Hiro made it to the end of the menu. "I think I'm just getting a burger." He said, pushing his menu off to the side.
The waitress came back, setting down their drinks and some straws. "I'll be back for your orders in just a second." She said as she walked over to another table. Once she was gone, Hiro shrugged and opened his straw, setting it in his drink and taking a sip of it. "Know what you're getting, Kakeru?" He asked, setting the glass back down and looking up at his friend.

"Uhhh...I'm not sure." The blond replied as Kakeru watched him grab a spare menu and start to flip through it. Kakeru turned back to the menu in his hands and thumbed through it casually, noticing how awfully simple the menu was, before cautiously glancing up to look at Hiro. He seemed to be concentrating on the menu, scanning each page thoroughly before going to the next page of the menu. To Kakeru the sight was… cute.
At the suddenly odd thought, he mentally banged his head against the wall. His face went red and he quickly scrambled to look back down at the menu in his hands. Attempting to pretend that he hadn’t been looking at Hiro. Although, all the words looked scrambled to Kakeru as his heart beat unnaturally fast, and he instantly gave up at trying to read the menu. Sighing, he pondered lightly at why he had thought Hiro looked cute. After shaking the thought from his head, Kakeru tried to concentrate on the menu for several minutes until Hiro spoke up.
"I think I'm just getting a burger." Hiro said nonchalantly and Kakeru watched as he pushed his menu to the side. A few seconds later the waitress came back with their drinks and straws, and swiftly set them down. She told the two teenagers that she’d be back for their orders in a second. Kakeru watched the waitress leave before turning back towards his friend. "Know what you're getting, Kakeru?"
The younger teenager shook his head as he glanced back at the menu. “Uh… I-I… Honestly d-don’t know…” He scanned the page of the menu he was looking at, before speaking up again. “I-I think… I’m g-going to get a-a cheese b-burger…” Kakeru mumbled. He gently closed the menu and pushed if off to the side. Kakeru looked back at the blond, completely unsure of what to say at the moment. Their conversation had completely stopped, and he found the situation unnerving. Kakeru wanted to speak to Hiro, but he didn’t know what to say.

“I-I think… I’m g-going to get a-a cheese b-burger…” Hiro heard Kakeru answer him after a moment of uncertainty. "Ah, so we're both getting burgers. Then I hope they're good!" He said, grinning widely. But his grin faded as he tried to think of something else to bring up for conversation. It was a bit of an odd silence, he didn't want to just sit there, awkwardly. He leaned back in his chair, tossing his head back so he was looking at the ceiling while he tried to think of something to say...anything.
After a few minutes of silence, Hiro finally thought up something. Hopefully it'd keep the conversation going for a little while, at least. He poked his head back down so he was looking at Kakeru instead of the ceiling. "So we've been here, at Aozora, for a few days now...what do ya think of it?" He asked, an eyebrow slightly raised. Yay, small talk. Well, at least it breaks the awkward silence. He inwardly sighed, a little frustrated he couldn't come up with anything better.

After several minutes of silence, Hiro looked back at Kakeru instead of the ceiling he had been looking at intensely. "So we've been here, at Aozora, for a few days now...what do ya think of it?" Kakeru bit his lip, as he thought about a reply to older teenager.
A blush consumed Kakeru's cheeks before he even spoke. Looking down at the table, he swallowed nervously before answering. "I-I... I like i-it he-here," he mumbled. He glanced up at Hiro and another blush swarmed over his face at the sight of the blond. This wasn't like him. Why was he instantly blushing just by looking at Hiro? Kakeru was completely confused, but he remembered he had yet to finish answering Hiro's question.
"I-It's nice here, a-and so are t-the people... Ontop of th-that, it's much m-more interesting t-than the school I-I attended b-back home," Kakeru slightly paused before continuing. "W-What do y-you think of i-it Hiro?" A dark blush consumed his cheeks as he waited for the older teenager's answer.

Hiro found himself smiling as Kakeru spoke. There was just something about the kid he liked...a lot. Everything, actually. He pushed the thoughts to the back of his mind, trying to focus on the conversation at hand.
"I-I... I like i-it he-here," Kakeru said, a slight blush showing on his cheeks. This made Hiro's smile widen. He continued watching his friend, seeing if there was more to his answer. "I-It's nice here, a-and so are t-the people... Ontop of th-that, it's much m-more interesting t-than the school I-I attended b-back home," the raven-haired boy paused for a moment, "W-What do y-you think of i-it Hiro?"
Hiro leaned back in his chair, resting his hands behind his head. "Eh, I like it here. Not necessarily for the school...only thing I like there is the Acting. But the people I've met so far are cool and it's nice to be away from home." He took a moment before getting ready to speak again, but as he opened his mouth, he saw the waitress approaching. He sat back up straight, placing his arms back at his side as she approached. Guess I'll have to wait for that... He thought, as the waitress stopped next to their table.
"Sorry for the wait. Are you boys ready to order?" She asked, pulling out a pen and notepad. Hiro looked at Kakeru then back up at her, "Yeah. I think we're ready. I'm gonna have a cheese burger with fries." The waitress scribbled on the paper, "Okay...and for you?" She turned to look at Kakeru.

Kakeru watched Hiro lean back in his seat, with his hands placed behind his head. The blond seemed to think a moment, before answering. "Eh, I like it here. Not necessarily for the school...only thing I like there is the Acting. But the people I've met so far are cool and it's nice to be away from home." It appeared to Kakeru that Hiro had more to say, but he didn’t speak up and instead sat straight again. Turning his head to see what Hiro was looking at, Kakeru saw the waitress approaching.
Once the girl stopped in front of their table, she pulled out a pen and notepad while speaking. "Sorry for the wait. Are you boys ready to order?" Hiro took a quick glance at Kakeru before answering the waitress. Telling her he wanted a cheese burger with fries. The waitress quickly jotted that down on the notepad before turning to Kakeru. "Okay...and for you?"
Kakeru glanced nervously towards Hiro, and then down at the table before answering the girl. “A ch-cheese burger w-with f-fries too… please,” he mumbled. The waitress wrote it down, and nodded with a smile.
”Alright, I’ll be back with your orders as soon as possible,” and with that, the waitress left cheerfully. Kakeru watched her walk away once again, before turning back towards Hiro. A light blush invaded his cheeks as he quickly looked back down at the table. Kakeru was completely confused once again. What was wrong with him today? Just looking[/I] at Hiro made him blush, and although Kakeru blushed easily, usually just glancing at someone didn’t usually make him blush. Kakeru mentally sighed at his confusing actions.
The conversation had died down again, creating a somewhat awkward atmosphere. Looking back up at the older teenager, Kakeru decided to strike up the conversation once again. “S-So…W-What w-were you g-going to s-say before she c-came?”
ooc; I am so sorry this took me forever and that it's complete crap. ;A; I'm such a horrible RPer sometimes... D:

Hiro noticed Kakeru blush as they made eye contact, once the waitress left, and then lower his head so he was looking at the table. Hiro found it adorable. He let out a quiet laugh before leaning back in his chair again. They were lost in yet another awkward silence for the moment, Hiro having already forgot he was going to say something else.
Hiro almost didn't hear Kakeru once he spoke up again, his thoughts were almost louder than the boy he was sitting with, but he could make out the mumbling, “S-So…W-What w-were you g-going to s-say before she c-came?” Hiro gave him with a questioning look, "Huh?" He thought back for a second, and remembered, "Oh!" He let his chair fall forward so it was sitting on all 4 legs again, "Do you miss home at all yet? I mean...we're going to be here till Winter Break at least...unless we choose to stay for that too. That's a long time to go without being home..." Hiro's voice drifted off, realizing he had just rambled a little after he asked a question, not giving the raven-haired teen time to answer him
ooc; Haha it's all good! And it wasn't crap!! It was fine! :]

Kakeru watched as Hiro gave him a quizzical look. He seemed confused at what Kakeru had asked. A dark blush flooded his cheeks as he looked down at the table, instead of at the blond. ‘Maybe I shouldn’t have asked Hiro that,’ he thought with complete and utter embarrassment. He was about to tell Hiro to forget about it when the blond suddenly spoke before him "Oh!" Kakeru heard Hiro‘s chair squeak lightly as all four of the legs of the chair were now on the ground. "Do you miss home at all yet? I mean...we're going to be here till Winter Break at least...unless we choose to stay for that too. That's a long time to go without being home..."
Kakeru looked back up at Hiro and nodded his head without a second thought. He did miss his older sister and her complete oddity, and he also missed his father and how the older man would tease him constantly. Not only did he miss his family though, but he missed the city he knew by heart. It was different to live in such a none crowded area, and Kakeru wasn’t use to it at all.
Staring intently at the table, the boy meekly answered. “I do m-miss h-home already… It’s… odd n-not ha-having my family a-around…On top of t-that… I-I miss li-living I-in a l-large city, and I-I especially miss t-the noise and th-the constant feeling o-of being surrounded.” After speaking, the boy peeked a glance towards Hiro and blushed heavily before returning his gaze to the table. “W-What about y-you Hiro? Do you miss home yet?”

"You do seem like a person who'd love big cities. Just one face among many. Noone really stands out; not drawing attention to yourself. Unlike here where everyone stands out and there aren't a whole lot of us." He said and nodded, "It makes sense." He grinned.
Hiro saw Kakeru glance up and blush, causing him to smile. “W-What about y-you Hiro? Do you miss home yet?” Hiro leaned his head back and thought...but it was a brief thought. "Not really, no. All I had at home was a dad who was always working, even at home." He let out a sigh, "I like it here. At least I have people to hang out with." He smiled at his friend and leaned back so his chair was on it's back 2 legs again.

"Not really, no. All I had at home was a dad who was always working, even at home." Hiro let out a soft sigh before continuing, and Kakeru waited patiently for his next words. "I like it here. At least I have people to hang out with." Kakeru watched the smile spread across Hiro’s lips and couldn’t help but blush. Why was it to him that the blond’s smile was so warm and friendly? An even darker blush spread across his cheeks at that thought. Really, what was with him today?
The blush still visible on his cheeks, Kakeru turned to look at Hiro before speaking lightly. “I-I guess I ca-can see why y-you d-don’t miss home yet than,” Kakeru turned his head to look to the left as contemplated on what to say next. His thoughts slightly wandered to how his father and Hiro's father differed.
Although Kakeru’s father hadn’t been home much while he and his older sister were home, whenever their father had the day off he would spend it with them. Kakeru remembered how he would often let them ditch school for the day so they could spend it roaming the city. He wouldn't constantly work like Hiro's father seemed to do. Looking back towards the happy blond, Kakeru felt a small sense of guilt overwhelm him as he spoke, trying to change the subject about missing home to something else. “Any-Anyways, y-you did str-strike me a-as the ty-type o-of person who is cont-content a-as long as they h-have a friend," Kakeru smiled warmly at Hiro as his stomach flipped nervously. "I like that about you"

Hiro grinned at his friend's statement. "Yeah, I guess you could say I'm a 'people person.' I don't find my comfort in being alone...I'd rather be with someone, or a group of people." He smiled, "It's too quiet when I'm alone...I can't stand it."
There was a brief silence. Hiro didn't even notice their waitress had come up by their table. It's like she just appeared there! He thought. She placed their food down in front of them and refilled their drinks. "Enjoy! And let me know if you need anything!" She said with a smile. Hiro was looking down at his food, "Tha-" but as he started to talk, he looked up to see where she was, she had run off to another table. "Man! She's like a ninja!" He said, shocked, bringing his gaze back to the burger in front of him. "But the food sure looks good!" He picked up the thickly stacked burger in front of him and licked his lips, taking a decent-sized chunk out with one bite.
He set the burger back down, took a sip of his drink, and finally spoke up again, now that his mouth was empty. "Pretty good, if I do say so, myself!" He grinned. "What do you think, Kakeru?" He looked over at his friend as he got back to eating.
