Character(s): Chiaki Yuzuru and Kouhaku Kono! Time: 7:00 P.M. Location: Boys's Dormitory, Room 20D
Having finally found the key that had disappeared in his pockets, Chiaki quickly unlocked the door, scurrying inside as soon as the door moved out of his way. His bags were heavy, as always, full of the things—food and books, mostly—that he needed to survive. ”Wow, these dorms are always so nice~” he exclaimed, setting his stuff down by the bottom bunk. It was great to go to a school as famous as this one; everything here was almost always top-notch.
It didn’t take Chiaki long at all to unpack, the contents of his bags put in their respective places. Having already downed the majority of the candy and finished the manga he was reading, he got up off of his bed and walked over to the window. The view was gorgeous, the sun setting softly in the background. While living on the second floor meant he had to climb a flight of stairs every time he wanted to go home, it also had its perks.
Where is he? Chiaki thought, jumping back onto the bed and laying down, hands folded behind his head. In retrospect, he’d probably arrived a little earlier than the rest of the students. Such were the downsides of always having to be on time.
{ ooc: I hope this was okay! >w> }

Kou was glad he had his boxes shipped earlier, he just hoped his roommate was smart enough to realize those were his and not be opened because of what lay inside them (sister's old clothes "for emergencies" and other useless things). He made a mental note to get more of his stuff from her sister's apartment in town once he had settled down with the lighter essentials. Walking through the hall to the dorm was a new experience for him, having studied in a school close enough to his house. It would different this time since after classes the only "outside atmosphere" he got would be the school yard and whatever was outside of the dorm building. And he would still technically be in school.
Sighing, he thought about how this was all going to be worth it all in the end. Maybe he would get over his fear of dancing in front of people and he could create a whole new name for himself. Less scared and more open about things --he was sure he wouldn't have much of a problem since he was generally happy (and not entirely sad).
The door to the room he would spend the next few years of his life stood before him and he put his hand over the doorknob, completely forgetting about the key in his pocket. Just when he was about to feel stupid about that, the knob turned as it was supposed to, unlocked. Blinking curiously, he opened the door slowly, all its creaking minimal because it was relatively new.
Searching around, he saw stuff and spaces already claimed and although he couldn't blame the guy, he wanted the lower bunk because of his tendency to roll more than the bed could support him.
His eyes rested upon the other male on the said bed as he closed the door and set his duffle bag down on the ground with a slight thud.
"H-hey there!" He greeted with a slight smile, hoping to catch his attention, hoping that the guy wasn't busy thinking about important things and hoping that whoever it was, was at least nice.

Chiaki jumped out of bed the moment he heard his roommate enter, a big, honest smile plastered on his face. His head had whacked against the top of the bunk, but that didn’t slow him down in the slightest. ”Hi!” the boy said, just now noticing the boxes that had been placed in the corner of the room. His roommate must have sent them in advance, or something, which made sense—his arms were pretty skinny and there was no way he could have lugged all of that up here by himself. ”I’m Chiaki Yuzuru! I guess we’re roomies?”
I like you already, Chiaki thought, grateful for the friendly smile on the boy he’d spend the next few years with’s face. He was cute in an effeminate way, slender, snow-white—his long hair was cool, too; Chiaki loved how long and well-taken care of it was. ”Oh, err.. Which bunk did you want? I can move, if you want.” He laughed nervously, feeling a little inconsiderate for deciding such things without his partner’s consent. ”I don’t care where I sleep much, either’s fine.”

Kou's eyes widened in surprise then the look on his face turned slightly apologetic because he knew it would hurt and it would be partly his fault, although the situation was funny and it proved to be a difficult task not to laugh.
”I’m Chiaki Yuzuru! I guess we’re roomies?”
"As far as first impressions are concerned," he said after a chuckle, "yours will be the most memorable." He walked over to stretch a hand out to him,
"Kouhaku Kono, Kou for short."
Chiaki seemed nice and he was starting to feeling like he had nothing to worry about, except for maybe his roommate hitting things. He hoped that didn't happen all too often.
"I don't mind either! But...I have a bad habit of falling off beds. Although I get that it's pretty tedious going up and down so I really don't mind." His was genuine. [ ooc/ reply is short and crappy because I rush for school ;; ]

”As far as first impressions are concerned, yours will be the most memorable.”
Rubbing the back of his head, Chiaki took the other boy’s hand in his own, laughing at his own clumsiness. He could tell that his roommate was trying not to laugh, too, a sign that he had a sense of humor as well as manners. Cool!
”Kouhaku Kono, Kou, for short.”
”Oh, hey Kou! Nice to meet you!” Chiaki was glad that his roommate was so nice; he very easily could have ended up with one of the school’s more sullen, conceited students, with his terrible luck.
”Oh, you can have the bottom bunk, then!” Chiaki said, brushing the crumbs and wrappers into his hand and tossing them into the nearby trashcan. He really didn’t care which one he had. ”We don’t want you breaking your neck in the middle of the night, do we? I like being on top better anyway, I was just too lazy to climb up until you got here.”

Kou shook it lightly, with almost the fragility of a girl despite having a lot more strength than what was expected of him. This guy seemed cheery enough not to dampen his spirits about anything --or much at least. By now he was starting to feel thankful for the blessings bestowed upon him by the gods. Maybe this was in-exchange for making him dance to a girl group song for his audition in front of actual, living, breathing, people.
This Chiaki guy seemed really nice and over-all, had a pleasant personality.
"We don’t want you breaking your neck in the middle of the night, do we? I like being on top better anyway, I was just too lazy to climb up until you got here.”
Kou was just about to start unloading the stuff in his bag when he paused mid-thank you, mouth hanging open, eyes furrowed in confusion. He wanted to ask him to repeat what he just said again but he was pretty sure he heard then. Or maybe it was that he didn't want to seem like an inappropriate twat with a mind that didn't always contain nice things but Kou was determined not to be blamed for that should it ever be brought up between them. Maybe he was just hearing things and this guy was just poking fun at him.
"The bottom has always been a more comfortable spot for me," he shrugged, paying no mind to what it could entail because really, it meant nothing at all. "But are you sure you're okay with climbing all the way up first?"
Kou paused, "because if you ever find yourself too lazy then you can sleep beside me~" he joked, letting out a small laugh that sounded more like a boyish giggle.

The look on Kou’s face—halfway towards his stuff—had been priceless, mouth agape as the innuendo that Chiaki had thrown in finally registered. Oh, boy. He was going to enjoy rooming with Kou, it seemed.
”The bottom has always been a more comfortable spot for me, but are you sure you’re okay with climbing all the way up first?”
Chiaki’s eyebrows raised themselves slightly at the boy’s response, brain trying to come up with a retort that was just as creepy, but Kou spoke again before his response could make it out of his mouth.
”Because if you ever find yourself too lazy then you can sleep beside me~”
”Hm, you sure?~” mused Chiaki as he closed the distance between the two of them, placing a finger underneath the other boy’s chin. He wasn’t quite sure what he was doing, but there was no point in stopping now. ”I warn you, I always sleep naked! ♥”
Pulling his finger away from the boy’s face, Chiaki laughed. ”Just kidding. Kind of, anyway!”
Hmm, Chiaki thought, spacing out for a moment. Wonder if he thought I was serious…?

”I warn you, I always sleep naked! ♥”
He was starting to feel a little stupid at how long it took for things to settle in his head as Kou had realized that there was a finger under his chin and that Chiaki was less than a few centimeters short of stepping over the boundaries of personal space. It hit him when it was gone and his roommate was chuckling over how he was joking about it.
”Just kidding. Kind of, anyway!”
Kou's face still held that perplexed expression, a genuine one that meant he was seriously thinking about that last statement.
"Kind of...? D-does that mean like half-naked or--" Not that it particularly mattered since he was pretty sure Chiaki knew he was joking and that whatever had transpired a minute ago was of the same nature, although, if it was true then Kou felt the need to be a little concerned...because then it'd really be cold. And it wasn't as if he was thinking about his roommate sleeping naked either, because that would be dumb and inappropriate --even if Chiaki wasn't specially gifted with mind reading, because it'd really be that cold!
Maybe it did cross his mind for two seconds, but not any longer.
Than three.
"And i-is that normal? That thing you did!" He felt his cheeks heat up at the recollection once again and his lower lip stuck out in a slight pout. "Because I doubt I'll get used to it enough not to surprise me anymore. I have the worst pacing sometimes."

”And i-is that normal? That thing you did? Because I doubt I’ll get used to it enough not to surprise me anymore. I have the worst pacing sometimes.”
…so, Kou was easily confused, it seemed. Chiaki could tell that his roommate was kind of a scatterbrain, but that was okay. The way he’d gotten so flustered over his totally true admission that he never slept in clothing had been pretty cute, especially the blush, which was incredibly effeminate but it… it fit Kou, if that made any sense.
”What thing are you talking about?” mused Chiaki, playing dumb for a moment, azure eyes full of mock innocence. ”Oh, you mean the part where I seduced you? Can’t help that one, it comes naturally to me~” Beaming, the dark-haired boy took a few steps backward, sitting on the edge of the wooden desk.
”So, Kou.” Chiaki leaned back against the wall, hands behind his head. ”What sort of stuff do you like? Got anything cool to show me?”

He had to will his body to stop sending colors to his cheek, which probably made him look a lot more like a girl than a guy, so he settled for a slight frown when he heard that Chiaki didn't quite understand what he meant by "that thing" because Kou had no idea how to describe it without it sounding odd and no way in hell was going to try and copy it just so he could get the point across. He could already sense the joking and very amused atmosphere in the room, all coming from just one person. In the room that they would share. For the next few years.
Kou noted the bags he had at the corner of the room and two boxes, one of which was filled with really important things the other with dresses from his sister. He stared at the two, both unlabeled and possibly sent from hell itself.
He took a glance back briefly to show that he was paying attention to what Chiaki was saying even if he had his back turned and then he returned to debating with himself about which box was the safest to open now, while his roommate was still inside. Eventually, he came to the decision that it would be the one on the left since picking the "right" one would probably not the right one, especially with his craptastic brand of luck.
And what a craptastic decision it was indeed.
He had no trouble stripping off the tape and the box's flaps lifted up a few inches more than he was comfortable with. Kou caught sight of a ribbon and some lace and then frills --it didn't take him long to conclude that this definitely wasn't the right box.
"What sort of stuff do you like? Got anything cool to show me?”
"I er...I'm a dance major so I like to dance!" He called over his shoulder, unable to hide the way his voice wavered with the fear of being found out.
He didn't have to check for the rolled piece of tape that once held his tiny secret together because he was sure he had crumpled it and let it sit on the other box, mocking him for being all rolled up and useless now.
"And n-no, not really. What about you?" Kou would just have to distract his roommate with a bunch of getting-to-know you questions before the guy would get a chance to get to know him the wrong way, at least in Kou's books. Because even if Chiaki seemed like a good person, he wasn't risking having his roommmate frown upon his hobbies right off the bat. His back was turned the whole time, trying to hide the panicked expression on his face as he stared at the box in despair.

”I er…I’m a dance major so I like to dance!”
Kou sounded pretty nervous, at least to Chiaki, anyway. ”Well, I kind of assumed that!” He laughed, skipping up behind his roommate. He couldn’t see much—they were around the same height and Kou made a terrible window—but he thought he caught a glimpse of something pink, out of the corner of his eye. And was that lace?
”And n-no, not really. What about you?”
”Um, not really.” Chiaki shrugged as he walked away, grabbing a random shoujo manga from his back. ”I have a bunch of books and manga, but, I’m not sure if you’re interested in shoujo or not.” To drive the point home, he walked a little closer, holding the cover up at eye level; it had a bunny and a beautiful, generic bishounen prince and a few fawning girls to boot, too. This was the deciding factor: Chiaki’s taste in books was his largest vice, and to some, it painted him as a major weirdo, or sickeningly gay—usually both. Kou didn’t seem like the type to care… but you never knew.
At any rate, Chiaki wasn’t the type to hide things about himself, and couldn’t have cared less what other people thought about him. ”Hopefully, that doesn’t weird you out.” Carefully, he tossed the manga onto the top bunk, shrugging blithely.
”So, yeah. That’s about all I’ve got in the way of cool things. Hey, what’s in the box?” Chiaki was positive that he’d seen pink frills inside the cardboard—any plausible reason for their being in there, he didn’t know—and he was becoming more and more curious by the moment. Kou seemed fairly bent upon not letting him see, though, and pressing the issue would make for a bad first impression.
