Name: Aoi Suzuno
Age: 16
Year: first year
Occupation: student
Face-claim: Renzou Shima
Major: singing
Personality: Aoi is just your boy next door type of person. He has nothing extraordinary about his personality, he's just normal. He's friendly when he needs to be, moody when it's appropriate, and he's evenly tempered. Aoi is far from boring though.
Aoi's witty and fun loving, just because he can't see doesn't mean that he has to live life in a protective bubble. Did he mention he was blind? Right... that's pretty important, but that's more historical. He's not very sociable, if you want to talk to him... you have to approach him yourself. Aoi doesn't just go up to people and say hi. He's not shy, he just doesn't like walking up to people that he has no idea what they look like or where they are.
He's also a bit of a clean freak. As a blind person, if things are messy... he doesn't know what's going on. All of his clothes are in plastic bags with braille labels on them so he knows what he's putting onto his body, his money is separated into separate parts of his wallet and he keeps his shoes in their boxes. Everything is labeled. He counts his steps everywhere he goes and forces it to memory.
When it comes to love, Aoi loves the idea of it. One day he hopes to find someone that could accept him with his blindness. Boy... girl.... it doesn't really matter to Aoi because well... he has no idea what anyone looks like.
History: Everything about Aoi's life was normal. Loving parents, two older siblings, friends... Aoi was a little athlete and a normal boy. That was all before the accident. November 24th on their way to their grandma's house, a reckless driver ran a red light and slammed into their car. The car hit right on Aoi's side, sending shards of glass into his eyes, instantly blinding him for life.
Aoi was angry at first. Why him? Why was he the only one that had permanent injuries? His oldest brother had a broken arm, his other one had a couple of broken ribs, his mom had bruises and his dad was fine... why was it only him? For years, he hated everything. He couldn't do anything that he used to, he couldn't catch a ball, he couldn't watch movies... nothing normal.
That's what brought him to music. When he perfected his ability to read braille his mother taught him how to read music and play the piano. He was your Japanese version of Ray Charles. Music quickly turned around his attitude, he finally had something that he could be good at again. He didn't need his sight to sing, and his ability to hear enhanced so... he was pretty awesome at it.
His mother and father were the ones that brought up the idea of Aozora. His family fully supported his dreams to be a famous singer, and they pushed him toward his dreams by enrolling him in the school. He has never been without his family around, but he was ready to take on the challenge.
Short RP Example: Getting ready was always a big to do when it came to Aoi. He had to walk over to his closet, search for his uniform, pray to god that he tied his bow tie right, and walk out of the dorm carefully and slowly. Sometimes he wore sunglasses... but he found closing his eyes constantly was less eye catching. He refused to use a cane... ever. He could usually tell where people were by the sound of their voices.. and if they weren't talking.. he usually just... felt them around. That radar rarely failed.
Taking in a deep breath, Aoi smiled and embraced the heat on his face. He had practiced how to get to the school many times with his brothers before he had actually entered the academy so... walking by himself wouldn't be hard. The first day of Aozora would be perfect.
