Name: Prim Matsuyuki
Age: 16
Year: First Year
Occupation: Student
Face-claim: Blue from Pokemon Special
Major: Dancing
Personality: Passionate. Everything Prim does, thinks or says is from her heart and she means every bit of it. She doesn’t just “like” things. She pours every emotion into what she does and likes.
She loves everyone. She hardly considers anyone a stranger and doesn’t judge the scariest looking person by his or her appearance. In fact, this is usually the people she is most drawn to. She cares about everyone around her and wants everyone to feel included. Doing whatever it takes to put a smile on every single persons face. However, growing up homeschooled as an only child, Prim doesn’t know many boundaries with people. Even though her intentions mean well, she can cross the line with some people. If someone can understand and accept her passion and devotion, they’ll be sure to have a loyal friend for life.
ADHD. Ever since she was a little kid, she’s dealt with this issue. Always active, loves to talk, and unintentionally interrupts people when a thought pops into her head. Although she takes medicine that helps her concentrate and calms her down a little, it’s very apparent that she can have trouble sitting still in class and studying. Which is why dance is so important to her. When her feet move, the world makes perfect sense and her mind only focuses on one thing. It’s like she’s completely transformed when she moves to the music.
History: Prim comes from a wealthy family. Her mother is a super model and her father is the CEO of a business that sells candy and sweets. Because of her parents’ careers, they are not around much at home. Her dad does business all day, and even when he’s at home he locks himself in his office making important phone calls. Her mother does various fashion shoots and shows all across the world, often traveling. Despite what some people might call neglect, Prim understands how busy her parents are and loves them unconditionally.
Ever since she was younger, Prim was mesmerized by her grandmother’s portraits hanging around her estate. Young, radiant, dressed in tutus and exquisite dresses, expressing grace through dancing even if it was just a portrait. Everyone told her stories about how her mother’s mother was a famous dancer. She captured the hearts and eyes of millions each time she stepped on a stage and moved to music. Prim wanted to be just like her. When she was 6, her parents hired Isabella Suo, her private dance teacher, still one of the most important people in Prim’s life to this day.
Because of her ADHD, her parents decided to hire private teachers to come teach Prim ever since she used safety scissors to cut almost everything during craft time in preschool; Her hair, her uniform and finally some of her peers’ hair before she was removed from public schooling. Of course, she caused other disturbances in the class, but this was the final straw as her teacher and other parents were becoming concerned. Since she doesn’t go to school, and her parents have been MIA most of her life, Prim doesn’t really have any friends besides her maids and her dance instructor. This causes her to be slightly socially awkward around other people. She’s not shy; she just never learned how to communicate well with others her age.
Short RP Example:
Pieces of her chocolate brown hair fell in front of her face as her feet halted with the music. Prim froze in her final position for a while, staring at her intense face in the mirror wall of the dance studio. As if coming out of a trance her face transformed, showing her joyful spirit as she took a bow and applauded herself, “Bravo!”
Isabella, Prim’s dance instructor for the last 10 years and her best friend approached her with a warm smile and slightly wet eyes. “Aozora will be honored to have you as a student, my dear,” She said. Prim loved listening to her talk; her French accent broke through every distracting thought racing through her brain. She embraced her, wishing Isabella could come with her to school. Her thoughts flowed out of her mouth before she could even process them, “I sure hope so. And maybe I’ll make a friend like you! Even thought I’ve never made friends before…” Prim pulled away her eyebrows coming together not in sadness or longing, but in thought.
“Prim,” Isabella said softly, placing her hands on the girl’s shoulders, “You are the most sincere and passionate person I’ve ever met. You don’t know the effect you have on people. You’re so intriguing, everyone will want to get to know you.” She pushed her chin up and Prim can’t help but beam with confidence.
