Characters: Haru Soshirou, others? why am i making him do this Time: 9:00PM Location: Stage
Standing on a stage was one of three dreams he had since he was a child. The first was to meet his father again, the second was for his mother to get better and come back home, and now that he stood on a stage, he could cross it off his list. Of course, he hadn't really written this list down, but he didn't need to anyway.
A bit disappointed, he sat on the edge, struggling to open his bottle of water. "Rightly...lefty...Lucy...Stupid water." he mumbled, tossing it aside, and watching it roll off behind a curtain. He sighed to himself tacitly, and leaned back, resting his hands on the middle of his stomach. The bright lights on the ceiling beamed down on him, burning his eyes, but somehow, the pain felt good.
Though he'd never felt it before, as his imaginary friends would always keep him company, he was sure that he was lonely. He could tell because he suddenly longed for the water bottle to grow legs and crawl out from behind the curtain and talk to him. For the first time, he became aware of his solitude, and how everyone had someone to talk with, except for him. He sighed again and let the lights continue to blind him, and stretched his arms out across the cold floor.

{oh my gosh, all my rps so far have been on the stage but whatever. Let me love Haruuuu (: }
Prim silently skipped through the halls, her stereo swinging back and forth as she carried it by the handle. It was late-ish. And maybe any normal student would be sleeping or studying, but nights were the hardest for Prim to sit still, thanks to her ADHD. Her mind raced with thoughts and she would become anxious. Usually after dark is when her thoughts would become more negative and make her even more restless. She would usually slip out to her dance studio at home to take her mind off of everything but dancing until she was tired enough to fall asleep peacefully.
Prim opened the stage doors and was surprised to find a boy sprawled out across the floor. He looked troubled as he stared silently at the stage lights about. Prim set her music player on the ground backstage and made her way to the boy. She joined him in laying on the floor, crossing her ankles and folding her hands neatly on her stomach. For a few seconds she tried to see what he was looking at up on the ceiling. "I'm Prim," She smiled still gazing at the ceiling.

Still lost in thought, which doesn't happen to Haru much as...you could imagine, Haru hummed to himself as he floated between consciousness and sleep. He was so many million miles away that he didn't even notice a girl with long brown hair get on the stage and lay down beside him.
"I'm Prim," a voice suddenly chirped.
"AH DON'T KILL ME!" Haru screamed, bolting upright. "Eh?" His eyes widened. He wasn't expecting anyone to show up so late at night, but he definitely wasn't expecting to meet a girl. "Oh, hi, Prim!" he replied, laying back down, and turning on his side to face her. Making friends was suddenly so easy; they all just came to him~.
"I'm Haru! My favorite crayon flavor is purple, what's yours?" he asked, beaming.

"AH DON'T KILL ME!" The peaceful looking boy that was beside her suddenly shot up. Prim tensed up in surprise; she might have been just as scared as he was in that moment. She was even at a loss for words.
"Oh, hi, Prim!" The boy must not have realized she was there because once her noticed Prim on the ground he returned to his spot on the floor and turned to face her. She relaxed again pulling her legs up so her feet were still on the ground, hands clenching together on her stomach. She turned her head in his direction and smiled. He seemed just as pleased to meet her as she was to make a new friend.
"I'm Haru! My favorite crayon flavor is purple, what's yours?" Haru asked her. This caught Prim off guard, again. She thought about the question a little, confusion showing on her face. She was no good at hiding the emotions she was thinking. 'Did he mean he likes grape flavor? Or he actually like the color purple?' she decided just to answer both, just in case she heard him wrong. "Oh, I like strawberry flavored things! My favorite color is blue though. But I don't like blueberries. They taste strange," Prim said enthusiastically, still a little stumped.

She looked over at him, a bit puzzled. Although, he was used to it. Half of the things that came out of his mouth caused people to give him strange looks. However, she just looked confused, not disgusted or irritated, so he kept the smile on his face, even if their expressions didn't match in the slightest.
"Oh, I like strawberry flavored things! My favorite color is blue though. But I don't like blueberries. They taste strange," she answered cheerfully. It wasn't quite the answer he was looking for, but it was an answer, a serious one.
Nodding, he turned his head again to look up at the bright lights above him. "I actually meant crayons, but strawberries are good too! I always wondered why they called them strawberries. Maybe a long time ago, strawberries were the royalty of the fruit world, and their castle was made of a bunch of colorful bendy straws, and then the blueberries tried to take away their fortune, BUT THEN THE STRAWBERRIES CONQUERED! And then, blueberries got stuck with the name blueberry because they're blue--I figured that out myself, actually--and strawberries get to be called strawberries." he explained, satisfied with his theory.

Prim continued to look at the boy as he told his tale about the fruits and their battle for the kingdom made of colorful bandy straws. He was so enthusiastic with his story that she almost believed it could have happened. She imagined the scenes in her head.
When he fell silent again, content with the origins of the fruits' names, Prim just examined him for a little bit. The situation almost reminded Prim of the stories one of the maids would tell her at night before bed. Although she could tell the maids thought the stories were boring and weren't enjoying telling it. Most of the time Prim was more focused on the expressions they would make or the tone of their voice as they spoke than the actual stories they were telling. But this story was different. "Oh I get it! STRAWberries cause the castle was made of STRAWS!" She laughed, sitting up so she wouldn't choke. She liked Haru. She could tell he had a light heart.
"Haru, why are you here so late?" She asked, still smiling.

"Oh I get it! STRAWberries cause the castle was made of STRAWS!" she laughed, sitting up.
He smiled warmly. People had never really laughed at his jokes and stories before. Most of the time they just laughed at him. "Right!" he answered, sitting up beside her. Her smile reminded him of his mother's, and he suddenly found himself happy to be around her, and desperate to not let their time together end soon.
"Haru, why are you here so late?" she asked, not changing her happy expression.
He stretched his arms out and pointed to the center of the stage behind them. "I was always my dream to be on a real stage, one that people perform on and get famous. I was dancing earlier, but I kept tripping, so I gave up and just laid here for a while." he explained, leaning back with his hands palm-down behind him, and kicking his legs in imaginary water below the stage. "And then I couldn't open my water bottle." he added, pouting. "But what about you? I mean, I'm supposed to be asleep right now; 8:30 was my bedtime. Shouldn't you be asleep too?"

"I was always my dream to be on a real stage, one that people perform on and get famous. I was dancing earlier, but I kept tripping, so I gave up and just laid here for a while." He had the same expression when he talked about dancing as Prim usually did. To them it wasn't just precise movements that impressed others. It was more. It meant something, and it was apart of who they were. She hasn't seen him dance yet, but she could sense it. "Wake up, Haru! This isn't a dream anymore. You're here and it's real," she reminded him throwing her arms up in celebration. She was half convincing herself that she made it here to into Aozora. She was on the road to becoming an admired dancer like her grandmother.
She looked around for the water bottle he had mentioned but couldn't see one in sight. He continued, "But what about you? I mean, I'm supposed to be asleep right now; 8:30 was my bedtime. Shouldn't you be asleep too?"
"8:30? I could never fall sleep that early. I have trouble sleeping sometimes. When I was little I would go into my parents room in the middle of the night to tell them I can't sleep and they said it was because I have ADHD," She didn't really know if people knew what ADHD was. Her family doctor told her before that she was special, not many people had it. Even if Prim had to take multiple pills a day, her disorder made her who she was and she was happy with it.
She brought her knees to her chest and wrapped her arms around her legs letting her hands fiddle with her shoelaces as she continued, "So after my parents rolled over and went back to bed I wandered the house and always found myself in my dance studio. Dancing helps settle my mind and I get sleepier faster. I brought my boombox." she pointed towards the side of the stage where she had set down her music before she joined him on stage.

"Wake up, Haru! This isn't a dream anymore. You're here and it's real," Prim exclaimed, tossing her arms over her head happily.
"Y-Yeah!" Haru chirped. He'd never really thought much about it, not that it really made the most sense to him anyway, but Aozora wasn't a cheap school. Most of the kids were either filthy rich or insanely talented, but even though he was dirt poor, he never thought he had all that much talent. But sitting on a stage next to a pretty girl, with the blinding colored lights shining down on him gave him a small spark of hope that he'd be able to make it big, and make his two other dreams come true.
"8:30? I could never fall sleep that early. I have trouble sleeping sometimes. When I was little I would go into my parents room in the middle of the night to tell them I can't sleep and they said it was because I have ADHD," she explained. "So after my parents rolled over and went back to bed I wandered the house and always found myself in my dance studio. Dancing helps settle my mind and I get sleepier faster. I brought my boombox."
Looking over his shoulder, he saw the boombox offstage, as if it was waiting in the dark to be played. He toyed with his fingers for a few seconds, and finally built up the courage to ask a big question. "Prim..." he began, blushing a little. "Do you want to dance with me?" he asked, holding out his hand.
In all of his years in dancing, he'd never once danced with a girl. He'd only ever danced by himself, and he wasn't sure if he would mess up or fall over his own feet, but Prim's attitude gave him some confidence.

She rested her chin on her knees, keeping her eyes on Haru as he fidgeted in a few moments of silence. He looked like he had something to say but he was nervous about something. Suddenly, even Prim felt anxious even though she couldn't figure out why.
"Prim..." he started, his cheeks turing a shade of pink. "Do you want to dance with me?" Haru extend his hand to her. For a few second she looked at his hand in front of her. Time seemed to slow down and millions of different thoughts buzzed around her head. Her mind was in a different world and it was just her, Haru's invitation and her thoughts. Her first impulse was to take his hand immediately, but she felt a new feeling she had never experienced before. She felt heavy, but light at the same time. Her heart started beating faster as if she had just finished a dance lesson, but she was still seated on the stage. She could feel her face starting to heat up a little.
What seemed like forever in her head was only a few second between Prim and Haru and she finally took his hand, realizing how hard she had been gripping her shoelaces. "I would love to," she smiled warmly at him. They stood up and Prim had to let go of Haru's hand to start the music. She walked over to where she set down her music player and pressed play on the CD. It was a mixed CD of various different songs she liked to dance to. Some were more upbeat, some for her to practice ballet but she picked track 4 to dance with Haru. Her anxiousness came back 'Will he want to dance to this? What if he just wanted to learn choreography or something?' Then there was the fact that her only other dance partner was her dance instructor back home. What if she didn't dance like he did? She took a deep breath and forced the thoughts away as she pushed play and walked back over to Haru, standing facing him.
The piano part for Kanon Wakeshima's Shiroi Kokoro started playing softly as Prim looked at their feet, "Uh..."She gave a nervous little giggle and finally admitted, "I've never really danced with a guy before." She smiled shyly up at him.
(This is the song.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=elCvJqptk2c I just really love Kanon Wakeshima <3 )

As she stared at his hand, Haru felt himself feeling warmer and warmer, but not the good kind of warm. This was a nervous kind of warm, the kind you feel when you've done something wrong and been found out, or the kind of warm you feel when you have a fever. Maybe, he should have gone to bed like he was supposed to? Before he could draw his hand back and toss out a fake "Just kidding!", she smiled and grasped it.
"I would love to," she replied, standing up, and breaking the shell of fear around Haru. She walked off to turn on the music, and for a few seconds, he felt like he really had gone to sleep, and was in a very realistic dream. He was awoken suddenly as the repetitive tinkling sound resonated from offstage, and Prim walked back towards him, staring at her feet. She looked almost...uncertain of something, and Haru suddenly worried that she changed her mind, and didn't want to dance with him after all.
As she opened her mouth to speak, he expected an, "I'm sorry, but it's late." but instead heard, "I've never really danced with a guy before."
He sighed with relief, and held out his hand. "Me either." he said. "I've never danced with anyone but myself. But my mom always said that as long as you have a good partner and good music, it's great. Come to think of it, she might have been talking about something else...but I guess it applies to dancing too, right?"

Prim couldn't help but smile as the nervous look on Haru's face turned into relief. The was just something so pure about him that made Prim feel safe. She wasn't even afraid to dance with him anymore, no matter how experienced he was. It was familiar.
"Me either." he said as Prim took his hand once again "I've never danced with anyone but myself. But my mom always said that as long as you have a good partner and good music, it's great. Come to think of it, she might have been talking about something else...but I guess it applies to dancing too, right?"
All Prim could do was giggle at Haru's last comment, "Well then, I'm glad we're dance partners." Prim smiled and pulled him to start moving to the music and out of conversation. She loved talking to Haru, but once she heard music, it was almost impossible to concentrate on anything else. Surprisingly, dancing with Haru was a lot like dancing with herself. In a good way! She didn't have to think about who was leading, they just moved naturally. And while Prim usually couldn't focus on anything else but the music, or else she would mess up dancing, she was able to focus on another thing this time: Haru. She looked up at his face a few times throughout the dance and felt a warm feeling overcome her body and she felt lighter. She closed her eyes to let the music take control of her movement, and as she danced knew Haru's movements; Prim envisioned him dancing in her head as she felt his movement. It was like they were connected, one dancer.

When Haru danced, no one would be able to guess that he was a straight F student, or that he came from a broken family, or that he'd never had a male influence in his life. He moved with such grace and fluidity that he even surprised himself. Normally, he'd be so enveloped in the music that he wouldn't be able to do anything else, but for once in his life, he was able to split his attention and notice things about Prim. He noticed her small fingers between his, and how well they fit together, like puzzle pieces. He noticed the blue in her eyes, and the green mixed in, like the ocean. But what he noticed the most was the way they flowed together. Through music and movement, they'd melted into one person.
The repetitive melody and the warmth of melding to another person made his mind dreamy, and he was able to move so smoothly that he didn't notice his feet touching the floor. Finally, the last words echoed out, and a strange, heavy feeling overcame him. The lightness had been completely replaced, but it wasn't a bad feeling. It was good in a way. He bit his lips, realizing that they were lonely and wistful. But he knew right from wrong, and knew better than to act on his feelings.
"Hey Prim," he said softly, as the notes faded out into silence, and the flames of magic began to flicker out. "That was the first time I ever danced with someone before. I had fun, did you have fun?" he asked nervously, his light brown eyes darting across the floor between their feet.

It had been a while since Prim had danced like that - completely carefree and comfortable. It felt like home. In her mind, she was back in her dance studio at the Estate, and Isabella was standing there instructing her as usual. Haru just seemed to fit right into her memory, as they moved together across the studio floor. 'Look Isabella, I made a friend! This is Haru!' She beamed at her memory instructor. She looked proud, and Prim really felt proud. She wouldn't have to dance alone anymore cause she would have people around her now. People like Haru.
Her surroundings turned back into the Aozora stage as the final lines of the song drew to a close. Isabella was gone, but she was more than relieved to find her hand still linked with Haru. She wished the song would never end, or at least not so fast as it did. Finally they were still in the silent auditorium once again. Prim had this feeling, like something should happen, but nothing did. She looked into Haru's warm, brown eyes which were focused on their feet.
"Hey Prim," Haru's words were soft and quiet amongst the still silence, and Prim felt giddy inside when he said her name. "That was the first time I ever danced with someone before. I had fun, did you have fun?" He was nervous. Prim could tell cause she felt slightly nervous herself. But she was overwhelmed by another feeling; a feeling that made her want to run around in circles and shout at the top of her lungs, and it gave her a sense of confidence. She couldn't find a word to describe this feeling, but she knew she wanted Haru to feel it too.
"Haru, I had so! Much! FUN!" She let out a burst of happiness and before she could think about it, Prim wrapped her arms around his neck, embracing the boy in a hug. She didn't really understand it, but it was like, she wanted to brake down a wall that was between them and get closer to Haru.
After a few seconds, and realizing this might not be appropriate behavior, she drew back from him holding her arms behind her back so that they were completely separate. Her face turned red in embarrassment, but she still had a small smile on her face. "Hey... could we dance together again sometime?" She spoke much softer, like how Haru had spoken before.
