Character(s): Sayuri Matsuda & anyone else. Time: 11:30 AM Location: Empty Classroom
Sayuri swallowed hard, ducking into an empty classroom and sliding, liquid, into an empty seat in the back corner. There was a lump in her throat she'd never felt before, an uneasiness like a disease, clinging to every cell in her body. She fought the urge to sob, thoughts and heart equally heavy, wondering idly as her fingertips slid between her lips why the sadness she could feel inside that girl would project itself onto her like it was. What was she doing?
She warily surveyed the empty classroom and other thoughts began to hit her hard. Why am I here? Why don't I have any real friends? Why am I worrying about some girl I hardly even know? Her head dropped against the polished surface of the desk and she let out a shaky breath. What's wrong with me?
Sayuri closed her eyes.

While Ren was walking around - as usual, not in class - he noticed an open door for a class room he's never been in. It was pretty dark and quiet, "a good napping place?" he thought to himself as he held the door frame and looked around the room. Not seeing anyone at first, he stretched his arms and yawned while proceeding to enter the 'empty' room.
Then he looked to his left and saw a young girl with bright emerald hair - sobbing? "The hell.." he thought to himself. She nearly scared him to death. "Well I guess I'm not getting any sleep here." He said a little loudly by accident as he stared at the girl. "What are you doing here?" He said pretty coldly as it was clear the girl wasn't in good shape at all.
".....Are you okay? Do you need help? Nurse's office is down the hall somewhere I don't know." He couldn't care less, he just wanted to sleep.

Sayuri's head shot up at the first slice through the silence; a male voice low, a dark lull to it. She blinked back the tears pooling at the corners of her eyes and smiled. He certainly was handsome, but she knew his type. Tough guy.
"No," she laughed, immediately brightening up. "I'm fine. Just needed to, uh, clear my head a little!" She smiled at him, sliding out of the chair, brushing the creases from her skirt. "And what brings you here, Mr. Mysterious?"
She moved closer, fluid dancer's steps, and cocked her head; biting her lip and blinking up with curious brown eyes. Sure she knew his type, but she'd never seen him before. "Just trying to clear your head, too?"

He gave the girl a weird look. "Who is she...?" He thought. He's seen her face in the halls a couple of times - but just one of those faces you think you'd never think will matter later on.
"And what brings you here, Mr. Mysterious?" the girl chirped. "...Mr. Mysterious?" he said in a weird tone of voice. "I just... want to sleep." he replied now with an irritated tone. "My class is in session, i'd get busted if I go to my dorm right now." He added. "And you...? Mrs... Mysterious?" Ren shrugged as he didn't know what he was saying anymore. "Weren't you just.. crying or something a minute ago? Tch." He could feel the awkwardness linger in their conversation, and didn't really know what to do about it. Ren didn't care since he didn't even know the girl's name.
"Clear my head?" He looked up into thought. "Yeah. Pretty much, I guess." For some reason this girl was different, she wasn't... annoying at all. Yeah sure, she asked a lot of questions but hey, Ren's been through worse. He didn't mind her presence at all, and that was rare. He felt.. comfortable. She was easy to talk to, and he liked that.

She laughed softly. "First of all, I'm Sayuri." She started to extend a hand but suddenly curling her fingers back, remembering her awkward handshake with her roommate this morning. "And I wasn't crying, I was just..."
She trailed off, tugging at her lip and finally narrowing her eyes. "What's it to you, anyway, Mr. Class Ditcher?" She could tell he had many walls up, and seemed a bit put off, but that didn't stop her from teasing. She smirked, rivaling the boy's own haughtiness, and slung her bag over her shoulder.
"Whatever. If it's a nap you want, I suppose I won't bother," she told him, and started out the door.

"Mm, Sayuri." He nodded in interest. That was a weird name, he thought. "Ren." He tilted his head a bit and stared at her hand, "Ren Yukio." He hesitated to take her hand - not really liking physical contact, but he did anyway. He shook her hand awkwardly, not being used to this kind of thing.
He took away his hand and cleared his throat. "Well, I think it's natural for me to be curious if someone's crying in an empty classroom by themselves." He gave her a puzzling look, "I don't like it when people cry. It's pathetic." He bluntly added as he sighed.
"Whatever. If it's a nap you want, I suppose I won't bother," Sayuri said as she was heading out the door, he watched her as he left. "Wait, your Ayame's room mate, correct?" He said quietly as he just stood there waiting for her to reply.
"....Nevermind. See ya." He walked to the back of the room and sat down on a dusty desk.

Sayuri turned on her heels, hearing Ren's voice not stopping, even as she'd started to leave.
"Ayame?" She said, name swishing about in her mouth like a sip of wine. "Yeah, she's my roommate." She took the seat in front of the dark haired boy and smiled. "Why, she a friend or yours? A girlfriend maybe?"
Sayuri knew she shouldn't tease, but this guy had walls and for some reason she really wanted to break them down. She batted her long eyelashes and laughed. "Or is it a secret?"

Ren looked at Sayuri as she was at the door way, and soon right infront of him. He started to slouch and all of a sudden he heard her speak -
"Why, she a friend or yours? A girlfriend maybe?" Ren jumped - "What the fuck, where the hell did you get that idea!?" He shouted as he kicked the desk in front of him. "God no! That fucking cry baby? Never in my life!" He growled as he watched the desk fall over on the ground. "GOT THAT?"

She blinked at the toppled desk on the floor beside her and stifled another giggle. "Ooh, sore spot, huh? What'd she done to make you so mad?"
Sayuri shrugged. "Seemed nice enough to me." His voice still echoed in her ears, loud and angry, and she'd be lying if it hadn't shaken her a bit. "But then again, what do I know?"
She righted herself once again and turned to leave, winking over her shoulder. "See you around, Ren."
A nod at the overturned table once more and this time her laugh rang out clear as day. "Oh, and you'll get that, won't you? I've got a choreography class to get to."

"Sore spot my ass, don't you dare mention Ayame like that to me ever again." he put his hands in his pockets as he saw her get up once again. "She didn't do anything," Ren replied. "She just won't leave me alone." He sighed and stood up as well.
"See you around, Ren." He nodded as kicked the desk around. "Yeah, yeah. Whatever. See ya, Sayuri." He bent down to pick up the desk, and before he knew it Sayuri left the room. As he placed the desk to it's original position, he wondered if he'd ever see her again.
"Tch." He rolled his eyes as he sat back down and put his legs on the desk. "What a weirdo."
