Character(s): Daisuke Kudo and Haru Soshirou Time: uh after school? Location: Library
Daisuke had come prepared, he had on his glasses, he remembered his hair clip and he was ready to get this tutoring session started. "Haru Soshirou?" Dai squinted at the paper in his hand. His teacher had politely asked him to help a fellow student who desperately needed help in his academics, of course Dai couldn't say no and here he was.
Alone.
In the library.
With no person to tutor.
Daisuke frowned, and looked down at the green watch around his wrist. Okay, maybe he was just being a little impatient, this Haru person was only a little late, and he must be new... so maybe he got lost. Yes... that was it, the guy probably got lost. Dai could wait a couple of more minutes... it's not like he had anything better to do.

"Ahhhhhh!" he screamed, as he fell into the door. Rubbing his head, he looked around. "Oh, hey you're that smartypants teacher guy right? Sorry I'm so late, I couldn't find the library anywhere."
Smiling nervously, he walked over to Daisuke seated at his table, and pulled out a chair. "So um," he began, sitting down. "What are you going to teach me today? Are you going to make me smart?"
He reached across the table and pulled at Daisuke's tie. "Please make me smart, Daisuke, you're my last hope!" he cried, shaking the boy. It was completely true. If he didn't pass his academic classes, then his dancing would be for nothing, and his scholarship would be for nothing. Come to think of it, he still never found out what a scholarship was.

When the person who he assumed was Haru arrived, it was quite the entrance. Dai jumped in his seat and turned toward the door where the red head hustled in.
"Oh, hey you're that smartypants teacher guy right? Sorry I'm so late, I couldn't find the library anywhere."
"Uh, I wouldn't say I'm that smart, but it's okay. You must be Haru. I'm Daisuke! Nice to meet you." He smiled, leaning forward.
"What are you going to teach me today? Are you going to make me smart?"
Dai took a quick look at the list of things that Dai had to go over with Haru and winced at the long list, "Umm I guess we could start with math?" Math was Dai's best subject, so staring with that should be the easiest.
A startled noise escaped Dai's mouth as he was pulled by his tie toward the other boy, and laughed after Haru screamed. "I'll do my best as long as you promise to work hard." Dai smiled, tapping his eraser to his cheek.

"I'll do my best as long as you promise to work hard."
Haru released his grip on Daisuke's tie. "Aw, thanks, man. I just...well, I'm not exactly a valedictionary, you know? Last in my class, failed all my last entrance exams, all that." he said, blushing. "And it means a lot that you're helping me out!" Beaming at Daisuke, he opened his notebook.
"Uh... what do I do now?" he asked flatly. "How do I get the numbers on the paper to do stuff?" He was serious. How did you get the numbers on the paper?

"Aw, thanks, man. I just...well, I'm not exactly a valedictionary, you know? Last in my class, failed all my last entrance exams, all that."
Dai smiled and fixed his tie, grateful that his bangs were out of his face. Valedictionary? Oh jeez, this might be harder than he expected, but Dai was always up for a challenge, and if he could end up helping Haru in the end...then it was all worth it.
'How do I get the numbers on the paper to do stuff?'
Dai stared at the redhead and blinked, as if the question had punched him in the gut. Well... the teacher did warn him that this wasn't going to be difficult. With a smile Dai handed Haru a pencil, and spoke to him with gentle voice " Well why don't I just start with your homework... Did you bring it?"

" Well why don't I just start with your homework... Did you bring it?"
Damn. "Well, no, but I brought a pencil." he said happily, holding it out in front of him. "AND," he said, standing and putting both hands on the table. "A notebook."
Reaching into his bag and tossing it in front of Daisuke, he felt accomplished. So what if he didn't write down a single assignment yet, he had supplies, which was just one step below.
"Can't I just skip the homework and you just make me smart, Daisuke?" he asked, sticking out his lip.

He couldn't help it, Dai had to laugh. Haru was funny. Not just because he was stupid, because honestly that's not what made Dai laugh. It was Haru's energy that made him laugh.. it was contagious. "It's okay, at least you have your supplies right? Without that we couldn't do anything."
"Can't I just skip the homework and you just make me smart, Daisuke?" Haru asked him, pouting.
Dai had to fight back his initial attraction, biting his lower lip. Damnit, why was he such a love struck boy lately? Every single time. He scolded himself and focused back to his job, "I'm sorry, I wish it worked that way. Then I could have skipped all this studying!" he smiled apologetically.
Taking the notebook in his hand, Daisuke opened it and wondered how exactly he was going to do this. In the most gentle way possible Daisuke asked, "What do you know about math, Haru?"

"What do you know about math, Haru?"
Furrowing his brows, and tapping the pen against his face, Haru tried to remember what he had learned not so long ago. Long hours after school, dozens of different tutors, nothing helped. Finally, it became impossible to pay for any special classes, and Haru had to drop trying to learn altogether.
"All I know how to do is add." he finally said, unable to look Daisuke in the face. For all he knew, he was shaking his head at him. He'd seen so many people do just that, that he didn't want to see it again. Instead, he hid his face with his hands and hoped no one else was in the library. "Look at me..." he whispered. "I'm seventeen, I only know half the alphabet, and I don't even know how to do first year math."

Dai frowned as Haru reacted to his question. Dai felt his heart twinge, and he reached out for the boy patting his shoulder comfortingly. "Hey....Hey, look it's okay."
It was sad to see Haru so upset, he didn't know that the other boy could even be so...emotional. "Haru, I'll teach you all of that, you're fine!" he offered a kind and encouraging smile.

"Haru, I'll teach you all of that, you're fine!"
A smile crept across his face. "Ahhhh, thank you, Daisuke!" he screamed, reaching across the table and putting his arms around his neck. "You're so nice!" After an awkward moment of squeezing and rocking, he let go of Daisuke, who looked extremely uncomfortable.
"So what do we start with?" he asked, opening the notebook.
