Character(s): Yousuke Kiyama, Ayame Natsuri, Ren Yukio Time: 7pm/Saturday Location: Park
The wind rushed through her long hair this day, just like it had a few days ago when she was out with Ren. So many beautiful memories lived on in the wind, but were carried away by time like a strong wind, but brought back like a retreating tide. Everything in the world felt so connected.
She looked up to the sky above her, and smiled because that was the same sky that she and Ren and Yousuke played under so many years ago. They'd changed beneath it, but it had stayed exactly the same.
"REN, YOUSUKE, HURRY UP!" she called behind her. "COME ON WHAT ARE YOU TWO WAITING FOR?"

"Calm the fuck down, I'm coming!" Ren shouted as he started to walk quickly. "Jeez, you're so impatient! Please remind me why I'm here today... Tch." He grouched as he put his hands in his pockets.
Well, why not, right? Another reunion with his childhood friends - it was something Ren needed after all they've been through. Something they all needed. Ren wasn't going to lie - he was happy that this was happening today, because he wouldn't have it any other way.
"Yousuke, you alright?" Ren said as he turned around to check up on the guy. He hasn't spoken a word since, and that's unusual for a talkative guy like him.

"I. HAVE. A. ROCK. IN. MY. SHOE." Yousuke shouted as the two kids in front of him headed on ahead. "WAIT -- WAIT FOR ME." He yelled, trying to hop on one foot as he slipped the other shoe off his leg and shook it upside down. A giant pebble fell out of the shoe and onto the ground, and a smile of satisfaction appeared on Yousuke's face.
"They didn't wait for me." he realized when he looked back up, and continued to hobble along as he struggled to replace his shoe on his foot. Still, though, he couldn't help but grin. All of three them were hanging out today. No yelling, no frustrated cursing at each other, none of that. They were going to have fun.
He suddenly ran to catch up to them, beaming as he arrived. "Sorry about that, there was a rock in my shoe." He grinned, "So, uh, what are we doin' today?"

Ayame turned around at the sound of Yousuke's voice and returned a wide smile. "Well, actually, I didn't have anything planned. We never planned anything before, did we?" she asked innocently. She probably should have arranged something, but the excitement of being with Ren and Yousuke in itself was already a distraction.
"Well either way, did either of you have anything you wanted to do?" she asked, looking over her shoulder. Even though it was windy and cold and the Autumn was already starting to die into Winter, it felt like that first summer they spent together. It was like she'd go home at the end of the day and Ryouya would be fighting with Kinji. And Ren would go home and play piano with his mother and he'd smile and laugh like he used to. And Yousuke would find that boy he loved and he'd never have to be alone again.
She cracked a smile for the bittersweet moment, and raised her eyebrows anxiously.

"Well," Ren shrugged as he put his hand behind his neck. "I don't know. Apparently there's a carnival open outside of town. We can get there within a few minutes if we take the train," Ren suggested as he smiled a bit. He hasn't been to a carnival in so long - it seemed like a good idea to go to one.
"Or..." Ren looked down, "We could just walk around outside of town. Set off fireworks?" Who was Ren kidding? He planned what he wanted to do the day before - and since he did, all the ideas he had came to him easily.
"I'm fine with anything."

Yousuke was genuinely surprised that Ren was quick to suggesting things that they could do. Despite knowing that the three of them were almost completely back to normal again, he still hadn't expected Ren to be this involved.
"The carnival sounds fun, I never been there." Yousuke mentioned, "I hear the Tunnel of Love is good." he glanced a bit hopefully between the two younger kids in front of them, a tiny seed of hope wondering if one them was nice enough to volunteer themselves to be his partner.
"Or, uh, setting fireworks is fun too!" He laughed, "We could go to the out-of-town beach to set them off, or we can you know, just go buy them right now at the mall and set them off here and hope we don't burn down any trees."

Tapping her index finger on her cheek, she thought about it. There was a lot they could do, surprisingly. The city was small, but it was no where near boring. Plus, there was a train station nearby to take them out of town.
"The carnival sounds fun, I never been there." Yousuke mentioned, "I hear the Tunnel of Love is good." Very typical Yousuke.
Her face lit up instantly "Ahh, You-nii~!" she squealed, hugging around his chest. "We'll definitely ride with you, won't we, Ren?"

Ren's eyes widened at the thought of the love tunnel - "Can't the boat only fit 2 people?" He groaned as he scratched the back of his head. "You two can ride while I wait outside or something." Ren grinned, trying to be considerate. After all, all he wanted today was for them to have fun.
"So, the Carnival it is then?" He started walking towards the train station that was only a few blocks away. "Come on, we can't be late. The train leaves in a few minutes!"

"You will?!" Yousuke beamed, his entire face lighting up, "Wow, guys, this means a lot to me, you know? Alright then! Let's goooo!" he cheered, obviously happy. He stalked off towards the exit of the park, eager to get to the train on time.
Of course he knew that the two teenagers wouldn't go with him on the ride willingly, even if they were all extremely close friends. Yousuke, no matter how hard it was to believe, wasn't stupid. And he wasn't going to just go on the ride and enjoy it with Ayame or Ren. If anything, Yousuke would end up being the one waiting outside while Ayame and Ren had their fun in the Tunnel of Love.
But whatever happened, Yousuke knew he would be happy. He loved spending them with these two. He loved it a lot.

"Don't ruin the fun, Ren, I'll carry you on if I have to." she joked, grabbing his arm and pulling him after Yousuke, who was already running towards the park gates. She didn't want him to pull his arm away, but she knew he eventually would, so she let go before he could
"Yousuke, wait up!" she called. She turned to Ren. "Let's catch up with him." she said, then turning back and running after Yousuke.
Yousuke. There was so much he didn't say. No one could possibly be so happy all the time, no one. What was he hiding? What...was it? She had questions she wanted to ask, but for now, she would just wonder what he was keeping to himself, what he was thinking about. "Hey, You-nii!" she said when she caught up to him. "What if Ren and I could find someone you'd actually want to ride the tunnel of love with. I mean, I know you love us, but do you really want to ride with a couple of kids?"
