Character(s): Arlette Yuen-Winchester, Ethan Ashford and who else would be interested~ Time: 4 PM Location: Park
It'd been while since Arlette had gotten some fresh air outside Aozora. Aozora was great, but she felt like a horse in an enclosed grass field. She sighed as she tucked her hands into her pocket and walked.
Surprisingly there were no kids around here today.
Slowly, Arlette made her way to a swing, and sat there, beginning to swing back and forth. She had always been a little kid, but just never liked to show it. The Academy provided warmth and a home-like place, but Arlette felt like she needed some fresh chilly air in her face.

“No, Mother. The apartment’s fine, I like everything there. Yes, Mother. Don’t worry about acquaintances, I’ll find them as I go along. Yes, rest well Mother and let Father and my sisters know that I’m doing well. Good night, Mother!”
And with that, he ended his phone call and continued to walk back towards his residence. It’s been a few weeks now since he’s arrived in Japan and only been a couple of days since he’s attended the academy. Unlike how most of the England citizens notice him, here it seems to be a bit quieter although people are aware of him during classes, as well the halls and everywhere else. “I guess the British have their slice of fame even in Japan as well…” He spoke softly, his accent naturally flowing out from his lips.
Every morning and afternoon as he made his trip down and back from school, he’d always pass by a small playground nearby. Almost every day, did he see little children releasing their endless amount of energy out onto the play area. They almost reminded him of his youngest sibling, how active and loving she was towards Ethan. Unusually today though; as Ethan made his way – he didn’t find any parents, or children with their carefree grins; instead, a female swinging on the swings back and forth.
“To leave a lady alone in a play ground, or to give her some company … What would Father do …” Ethan placed his hand naturally on his chin, questioning himself with the situation. As he came to a conclusion, he smiled a carefree smile; shaking his head in disagreement. “Father wouldn’t.”
Changing his destination over towards the swings, Ethan placed a gentle smile as he leaned slightly against the swings pole. “So miss, do you need someone to give you a hand; or shall I let you just swing freely?” He questioned the female, letting his accent flow naturally through his sentence.

“So miss, do you need someone to give you a hand; or shall I let you just swing freely?” An accented voice near Arlette asked, and she immediately brought the swing to a halt. She whipped around -or as much as she could while on a swing- and saw a boy who looked somewhat around her age.
The boy who leaned against the pole didn't look very Asian, and it was probably quite obvious from his accent that he wasn't raised here. "Well hello, I wouldn't mind you helping me" Arlette said calmly, eyeing the boy, and paused. Her lips curled into something between a smile and a smirk before continuing, "before that, who might you be?"

Ethan watched her mouth slowly curve into somewhat of a smile. The mysterious aura around this particular person somewhat put him in a daze, but smiled his thought away as their conversation seemed to spark a bit. "Seems like it's going to be an interesting afternoon," He thought to himself quietly.
Slowly reaching over to the chains, Ethan stopped abruptly when the brunette asked him a question. He stepped a few places back and shook his head. "How rude of me, I'm terribly sorry there! The name's Ethan, Ethan Ashford. Pleasure to meet you," He gracefully bowed with one arm crossing over and raising straight back up into his posture. He gestured his hand over towards the female and returned the question.
"And who might this young lady be, before me?

And so the boy introduced himself as Ethan Ashford, with a bow, while actually crossing one arm across his chest. Something about this made the half-smile-smirk on Arlette's face grow a bit wider; she hadn't been expecting that.
"Ethan, Ethan Ashford" she repeated, twirling the alien name around her tongue for a taste of what it sounded like. Arlette curledher hands around the metal chains that held the swing to the pole as she replied, giving the boy an up-down. "I'm Arlette Yuen-Winchester."
Around them, children laughed and giggled as their guardians talked over coffee as they kept sight on their kids. The mid-September breeze made its way through the park, sending a pile of autumn leaves into a flurry of red and orange and ochre.
"So what might you be doing in this park all alone?"

Ethan couldn't help but to let out a gentle, yet melodic laugh as he listened in for her question. He covered his mouth quickly, to refrain from being anymore disrespectful than he already is. Ethan slowly regains his posture and smiles down at the female while shaking his head lightly. "I--I'm so sorry, Miss Arlette. I couldn't help, please do forgive and excuse me for such. I was wondering the same thing and, I found it a bit amusing how you thought the same for me."
The raven-haired crossed his arms and leaned against the pole again as a smirk of somewhat crawled upon his lips. "I would ask you the same question, miss. I just came by to accompany the little lady here; it would be rude of me to just walk by without asking to see if a beautiful young lady like yourself needs a little company, don't you say?" Ethan finished off with a quick wink.

Right as Arlette had asked him her question, Ethan laughed. His laugh was gentle, and had some melodic quality to it, reminding her of a wind chime. And then he bowed, apologizing. 'Oh!' Arlette near-gasped a bit, surprised and slightly taken back at how the boy was.
It was not that she found Ethan... anything strange or sorts, but she found it interesting, how the boy would've been brought up. 'Don't worry about it, really!' Arlette tried to brush it off, but couldn't help saying, 'you remind me of some fairy-tale character! With the bowing and chivalry and all!'
Running her hands through her pale brown hair awkwardly, she tried to smile as she realised how strange her comment was. Then as he retreated to leaning against the pole, Ethan replied, '"I would ask you the same question, miss. I just came by to accompany the little lady here; it would be rude of me to just walk by without asking to see if a beautiful young lady like yourself needs a little company, don't you say?"
"Well, thank you. And why, thank you so much for thinking of me," Arlette returned, beaming, and leaned back slightly on the swing, shifting her weight on it a little bit, like how a child would.

“Fairy-tale character? Hahaha, I guess it’s that royal blood in me. My Father back at home raised me with a lot of etiquette and to be a gentleman, you see.”
As he finished his sentence, he leaned forward and reached for the brunette’s hand, laying a soft peck on her forehead. “I’m sure this is very unusual here in Japan.” He finished with a sly smirk on his face while slowly rising back up.
“It’s pretty common between the aristocrats in England. But by the means of ‘fairy-tale’ are you referring me as a prince perhaps?” He smirked towards the brunette, never would have imagined someone to refer his actions to something relative to fairy tales. But Ethan could understand where the female was coming from. After all, the tradition of chivalry did die out.
“No problem, Miss Arlette. By the way, you have quite an amazing smile there; one of the best I’ve seen so far here at Aozora.” Ethan elegantly walked over behind the brunette and held onto the chains. Lowering his height and turning his face to hers, he smiled.
“Did you want a little push?”

“Fairy-tale character? Hahaha, I guess it’s that royal blood in me..."
That sort of took Arlette by surprise as he leaned forward to leave a peck on her forehead. "You're a prince?" Arlette asked as Ethan rose slowly, a wonderfully sly smirk on his face. "I’m sure this is very unusual here in Japan.”
"Here in Japan, yes," Arlette smiled, looking at Ethan's purple-pink eyes, "but it's not that much different from what we do in France." She returned his smirk, and had he stayed where he was a moment ago, she would have kissed both his cheeks very lightly like how she would've done back in Paris.
“It’s pretty common between the aristocrats in England. But by the means of ‘fairy-tale’ are you referring me as a prince perhaps?"
"Perhaps. But I wouldn't hesitate considering you a prince, then, Ethan," Arlette couldn't help but say; it had been a while since she'd met someone like this. Then the boy continued to speak, "By the way, you have quite an amazing smile there; one of the best I’ve seen so far here at Aozora.”
"Thank you, Ethan, " Arlette smiled as she watched the dark-haired boy walk behind and hold onto the chains that held the swing, "Merci beaucoup! And I must say, your father must be proud of you. You're easily a gentleman."
“Did you want a little push?” The boy asked, and to that Arlette nodded eagerly, glad that she had taken today to come to the park.

“Hahaha, not exactly. I’m simply the relative of the royal family.”
Ethan’s eyes widen in surprise, “A French maiden than we have here, I see. I can agree to that statement, the French are very affectionate with their greetings. I believe it would have gone something along the lines of this –“ Very quickly, Ethan lowered back down to her level and left her a kiss on both sides of her cheeks before rising back up, smiling.
The title as a prince was something he never desired, but it always seemed to follow him wherever he walked. Ethan simply sighed while shaking his head gently. “I would prefer not, but if it is in Miss Arlette’s interests – then so be it.” He smiled graciously
Ethan pulled the chains of the swings and released it gently, then pushing the female with careful and delicate touches. He felt as though he was back in England, pushing his younger sister along the swings. He smiled softly to himself as he continued to repeat the same action and precaution; making sure his thrust wasn’t physically uncomfortable for the brunette.

"Very affectionate indeed," Arlette repeated, looking at Ethan with a pleased simper on her face as he kissed both her cheeks and pulled away.
“I would prefer not, but if it is in Miss Arlette’s interests – then so be it.”
"Ah," Arlette paused for a moment, thinking, ending with a slight laugh. "Ah, forgive me if this sounds a tad dumb, but as a relative of the royal family, is there a title to go with your name of sorts? Or is it just Ethan Ashford?"
Then the boy pushed, and launched her off into the air. Cool afternoon breeze ran again her face, through her hair. Up, and down once more. After coming down once and rise again, she noticed that Ethan seemed to be a bit... careful with her? "So, what brings you all the way here to Tokyo?" Arlette called as she rose into the air again, feeling like a little kid in wonder, defying gravity like it was magic.

Ethan let out a soft muffled laugh as he covered his mouth. “I’m sure that – is something you’re very accustomed to. Does it not mean that, I would get a greeting in return?” He teased her a bit, before shaking his head. “I was just kidding, Miss Arlette. No need for any of that. I didn’t come here to steal kisses away from your beautiful face now.”
Disagreeing with her comment, he gave her a pleasant smile. “Nono, it’s not a dumb question. I don’t have much of a title, just a relative of the royal family. We’re just known as the Ashfords back in England, just relatives like any other family.”
Anticipating for the question, Ethan laid a smirk on his face while continuing to push her along the swings. “Hahaha. Possibly the same reason as everyone else has here at the Academy. And for the sake of a vacation away from paparazzi I guess. I haven’t seen any so far, so everything’s pretty swell with me.” He explained, sliding out some information from his narrative.

“I’m sure that – is something you’re very accustomed to. Does it not mean that, I would get a greeting in return?” Arlette could hear the teasing in his voice, but then added, "I was just kidding, Miss Arlette. No need for any of that. I didn’t come here to steal kisses away from your beautiful face now.”
For just a slight moment, Arlette thought she felt heat rush to her face. But then she turned back and faced him for a swishing moment,a clean smirk on her face. "Maybe you;ll get one when I come down~"
"Ah, so just the Ashfords, huh?" Arlette replied, "I see. I always thought there was some sort of title, like the howmanyeth cousin of the Royal Family, and so on."
" And for the sake of a vacation away from paparazzi I guess. I haven’t seen any so far, so everything’s pretty swell with me." Arlette heard him reply. Listening to Ethan, Arlette felt intrigued, like some sort of mist tugging at her. There seemed to be a lot going on with this smooth-talking boy. "Was the paparazzi that bad?" she paused, and continued, "and what's your major back at Aozora?"
Looking at the sky over the trees, the sun began to sink into the darkening autumn sky. The days where autumn fell closer to winter were catching up, slowly meaning shorter days and longer nights. "Hey, Ethan, it's starting to get a bit dark..."

Ethan cocked his head to the side, and flashed a dashing little grin towards the female. “Well, that’d be quiet lovely and interesting indeed Miss Arlette.” He listened carefully to what she was saying and the questions that Arlette asked him. “Yes, we’re just the Ashford’s. And paparazzi was quite ‘involved’ with our lives should I say. Not much of a private life, almost being treated as a celebrity if that helps Miss Arlette visualize.” Ethan was leaning against the pole again with his arms crossed over, now gazing at the sky.
“I’m majoring singing, Miss Arlette. What about yourself?”
He turned his gaze over towards the females and stood straight back up. “Ah, apologies Miss Arlette. Shall I escourt you back to the dormitories?” He crossed his arm over and bowed mid-way, offering his service to the brunette.

"Ah," Arlette breathed as she listened to Ethan talk about how it was like back in England for him, and couldn't help add with a grin. "It certainly sounds interesting, like, compared to regular teenagers' lives"
She looked down and saw Ethan lean against the poles of the swings once more, and called as the swing swung back again, and she slowly brought it to a halt. "Me? I'm an acting major," she smiled with a cliched, over-dramatic toss of her pale brown locks.
Then the boy bowed, like how he had before, and offered to walk her back to her dormitories; as she had mentioned, it was getting dark. "Hmm," Arlette looked at him, and gave him that soon-to-be-signature look of a half-smile/half-smirk as she placed her hand on Ethan's shoulder, "how about dinner instead? Curfew's not for a while..?"
