Characters: Basile Jinkaku, Anyone and everyone! Time: 2 pm Location: Open field in the park
Basile's black oxfords pounded against the pavement as he tried to keep up with his dog, Adele, who was currently chasing after birds and squirrels. He held onto his paperboy cap and the pink leash desperately as he jogged along the path to keep up with his dog. Though it had been cooling down in Tokyo the humidity and running (it seemed as if they had been running since Basile took a step out of the apartment) were starting to drench Basile's light collared shirt in sweat.
"Please slow down a bit, Adele-chan! We've been running for so long!" he cried at his dog, but she seemed to ignore his pleas. Finally having enough of it he yelled rather pathetically, "Adele-chan!" Immediately the shiba inu stopped and looked back towards her master with her light golden tail swaying happily. Her sudden halt made Basile almost plow into her, but he was able to stop himself. He gasped for air as he bent over his knees, clutching tight at his jeans, before grinning at his dog. "Geez Adele-chan, sometimes you have too much energy for me!" He gently rubbed her ears with his hands before leading her over towards a grassy area.
He sat down in an open area and stretched his legs and his arms. Adele sat next to him intently watching a squirrel scurry around a tree near them. Basile noticed this and clucked his tongue disapprovingly but with a smile on his face and made sure to loop the pink leash around his hand. Then he placed his hands behind his head for comfort as he laid back onto the green grass. He stared up at the clear sky.
The laughter of far off friends echoed through his minds. It didn't seem long ago that he and them would skip lessons and go off to find grassy areas in Paris to lie in and let the sun caress their skin. They would joke, laugh, talk about who they liked, who they disliked, discuss their futures and their pasts. Not many people seemed to take breaks and stretch out in the sun and Basile supposed it was a European thing. Closing his eyes he let his mind drift out towards numerous realms.

It was only one of her few weeks she had spent here, but walking through the park on her own had slowly become a relaxing after-school routine for Arlette. The park was usually crowded at this time, but it seemed pretty empty -maybe because some classes were still going on? she wondered.
Arlette tilted her head up to the sky, wondering what time it was. It was a habit, she realized, looking to the sky to find the time. The sky was a palish blue, wisps of clouds streaking over it. Maybe around 2pm or so?
Walking, she heard a male's voice, "Geez Adele-chan, sometimes you have too much energy for me!" Immediately, Arlette could tell the person speaking was not Japanese, but possibly... French like her? Adele wasn't even a Japanese name either. Looking around, she saw a boy with blond hair and spectacles sitting on a grass field nearby.
For a moment, Arlette just stood, watching the boy with the dog, wondering how odd it would be should she approach him. But then again, the boy looked like she was his age, and it would be no surprise if he attended Aozora too.
Slowly, Arlette made her way to him, waving. He looked friendly, what would she have to lose? "Hello," she called out, not bothering to cover up her accent. Arlette was sure he wouldn't mind.

"Hello" came the light voice. It had a thick accent to it. Was it French? It was hard to tell until he opened his eyes and faced a girl who at first glance didn't appear to be Japanese or Asian at all. A breeze blew her light brown hair, almost blonde, into cascading wisps around her while her hazel eyes looked at him with curiosity. His green eyes examined her more closely and could see a slight slant in her eyes telling that she did have some asian descent in her blood.
Being the polite fellow that Basile was he pushed himself off the ground with the palm of his large hands and stood in front to greet her. His golden hair danced around him from the sudden movement and the paperboy cap gave a few bounces. "Bonjour," he smiled before lightly kissing both of the girl's cheeks. Regardless if she really was French or not it was something that Basile did often with everyone. "Parlez-vous français, oui?"
Adele gave small bark and began to circle around the new person, wrapping her up in the pink leash as she tried to make her decision on her. "Ah, Adele-chan! I'm sorry about this!" Basile said with mild frustration and a good deal of amusement. He followed his dog's course and within a few seconds was able to undo the leash that had been tied around her.

Before Arlette knew it, the boy was smiling, ""Bonjour," already kissing both her cheeks. She smiled warmly at the familiarity of the gesture. "Parlez-vous français, oui?" he asked.
Arlette nodded excitedly; and so the boy truly was French, "Oui, oui, et toi?" As she asked that, she realized the boy's dog was circling her with its pink leash, and the boy was already bending down to free her from it. ""Ah, Adele-chan! I'm sorry about this!"
"It's alright," Arlette said as she moved a bit, away from the freed leash. "Adele, huh? Pretty name."

"Oui, oui, et toi?" "Bien sûr!" he smiled warmly as he finished untangling the leash. "It's alright. Adele, huh? Pretty name," the girl said as she shifted away. Adele's tail slapped the air continuously as she stared up at the stranger and repeatedly tried to jump on her. She gave a few friendly barks as if she had head the compliment. Basile tugged at the leash trying to calm her down. "Adele-chan you really are a troublemaker! If you do it too much the cuteness will loose its novelty!" he mumbled under his breath. He turned his attention back to the girl in front of him. "Speaking of names, mine is Basile. May I ask yours?"

'Adele is adorable!' Arlette couldn't help bending down to pet the furry dog, wagging her tail probably excitedly. 'I don't mind the cuteness,' she said, as she proceeded to rub behind the dog's ears. She read somewhere that that was a great place to pet a dog, or somewhat.
"Speaking of names, mine is Basile. May I ask yours?" The boy asked, and Arlette looked up to face the blond. 'Well, you're French, aren't ya? As I thought~', she said in a singsong voice as she finally answered his question. 'I'm Arlette, uh,' she paused, thinking of something more to say, 'and I go to that boarding school, Aozora, nearby.'

Adele thumped her tail in appreciation as her ears were being rubbed. A small yawn escaped her as she became relaxed and rolled over on her belly for more attention. Basile stuffed his hands into the pockets of his jeans as he looked at his companion in mild amusement.
"Arlette, what a lovely name. I take it you're French as well? What part of France do you come from?" he beamed at Arlette. To be with someone who may also be from France felt nice to Basile. It had been a while since he talked with anyone from there or really about it. He crouched down next to Adele and Arlette. "Ah, Aozora~! I should have expected it! It seems like everyone goes there, including me

Still petting the dog, Arlette slid down on the grass field, part of her just hoping the grass wasn't itchy. "Arlette, what a lovely name. I take it you're French as well? What part of France do you come from?"
"Aha, why, oui," Arlette returned the smile; Basile could easily remind him of the friends she had back home. "Well, I studied in Paris, but I grew up in the French countryside when I was little."
"You go to Aozora too! That's great! What are you taking there?" And when she realised Basile was till crouching, she patted the space on the grass next to him. "Sit?"

Basile sat down next to her and couldn't keep the grin off his face or from letting it get bigger. He was getting more excited with each passing minute as he talked to Arlette. "I lived in Paris! It's a shame we never met there, but it is a big city after all," he sighed in amazement. To think that Arlette and him grew up in the same city for years only to meet in a different country and go to the same school really astounded him. "I'm an acting major. What about you?"

"I lived in Paris! It's a shame we never met there, but it is a big city after all," Basile sighed, as if in some sort of amazement, the grin on his face growing wider. "Well, I was in a boarding school there too, so many that's why we never crossed paths," Arlette chuckled, thinking about how her friends would be having their minds set on one of the most fun events the Paris-based school had to offer: the annual Halloween Masquerade Ball.
"My friends would be planning the school's annual Halloween Masquerade Ball right around now," Arlette said, but couldn't help her sentence from ending in a slight sigh, laced with nostalgia.
"I'm an acting major. What about you?"
Arlette's pale brown eyes widened in excitement. "I'm an acting major too! Seems I'll see you in classes too, Basile!"

"Boarding school, huh? I went to a private school, but I skipped classes a lot," he laughed sheepishly. When Arlette mentioned Halloween Basile remembered fondly the Paris streets being alive with ghouls, witches, and parties when he was there. "Halloween is so much fun with dressing up and going to good parties!" he grinned. Basile leaned back on his hands as he looked up at the sky. "I hope it will be as much fun here as it was in Paris!"
When Arlette mentioned that she was also an acting major he whipped his head in her direction. "Really? Wow, the Goddess of Fate must be bringing us together for something big!" he laughed. "It will be great working with you from here on out." He took her hand into his and raised it to his lips giving a soft kiss to the front of her hand.

"Ah, so you're the Class Skipper!" Arlette laughed as she heard that; there was always someone she was bound to meet that was like that. "Cheeky boy." Not like it was a bad thing, she reflected. "And it's gonna be Halloween soon!"
"I hope it will be as much fun here as it was in Paris!" The boy ginned as he looked up at the sky. "Well, of course it would; even if it isn't, we'd bring the party here," Arlette returned with a chuckled at the thought. Maybe they really could suggest something great for Aozora this year.
Then as he learnt that they both would be acting majors, and would both be working together eventually, Basile laughed and slowly brought her hand to his lips. "It will be great working with you from here on out." Arlette grinned, and replied as she slightly dipped her head. "As with you, Basile.~"

Adele pawed at the feet of Basile and nudged her head under his head to get more attention. Basile clicked his tongue at her in chiding manner, but smiled anyways and started to rub her head again. He gave a light laugh in response to Arlette's comment about him skipping. "Ah, but class can be so boring~ Especially when I could be giving my attention to something more fun!" he replied.
"Oh...you're right! Halloween will be here anytime! Haha, that's right we can show them the French way of doing things," he gave a small wink and continued on, "Do you have any costume ideas already?"
[It's okay! I'm sorry for giving such a short and bad reply!]

"Like, what other things would you consider fun?" Arlette tried in a singsong voice as she reached over Basile to pet Adele. "Hmm... Halloween?" Arlette looked to the plain blue sky, contemplating. "Costume ideas? Well, I really have absolutely no idea." She paused; trying to remember All Hallows Eve the year before. "I don't even remember what i did last year..." Arlette turned back to face the boy, "and so, et toi?"
[OOC: ORZ it's okay, im so so so so sorry for this being ages late ;__;]
