Characters: Ayame Natsuri/Mayumi Yoshida Time: 3pm Location: Dorm 10A
Ayame carelessly flipped the on the light switch as she stepped into her room. Since Sayuri suddenly transferred out, she was able to convince the dorm advisors to let Mayumi take her place. The sad truth was that Ayame didn't want to sleep alone in an empty dorm, especially after hearing so much about an accident that caused them to be rebuilt.
She grinned brightly as she drew the shade, and turning back to Mayumi, motioning for her to come in. "It's really the same as all the other dorms, but we could decorate it later if you wanted." she mused, pulling a chair from one of the desks. Having another girl as a friend was such a new experience that she wasn't sure if she was being clingy or pushy, so she just zipped her lips for the moment and looked out the window, a gentle smile on her face.
"Maybe I could get Chiaki or Kettaro to get over here and help us." she joked, looking at Mayumi again.

Even though she was only standing outside of the dorm room, Mayumi felt more at home than she had in her previous dorm. She was so glad Ayame had been able to manipulate the housing to their favor.
Following Ayame inside, Mayumi dropped her things near the closet and stretched her arms above her head. Her eyes trailed after the blonde, watching as she opened the blinds.
It wouldn't be hard to make herself comfortable, not in the slightest. Plus Ayame had said they could decorate, and the only real decorations she had were her photos and some sheet music she had sketched on. No, it wouldn't be difficult at all.
"Maybe I could get Chiaki or Kettaro to get over here and help us." Ayame said, smiling.
Mayumi chuckled lightly. "I think they'd take it a step too far!" she said, moving to sit down on the edge of the bottom bunk. "Pink isn't exactly my favorite color."
(OOC: Horrible reply, oh my god. Sorry!)

"I think they'd take it a step too far! Pink isn't exactly my favorite color."
Ayame giggled, pushing the chair back. "You're probably right." she laughed, and stood up again. The room seemed a lot less empty with someone else in it, but it still seemed like it was missing something. Everything was so plain. On the short occasions that she'd been in Kettaro and Ren's dorm, she was able to see that Kettaro's side was decorated in some way.
"Decorating couldn't be too hard, could it?" she asked, looking around the room again. The walls were bare and pale, but a few pictures would take care of that. But the room itself looked so plain, and if she was really going to live there for two years, they'd have to do something about that.
She walked over to the closet and opened it, reaching for something on the top shelf. When she found it, a smile spread across her face again, and she carried it over to Mayumi, sitting on the bottom bunk next to her. "I collected these from all the traveling I did," she began, taking the cover off, revealing hundreds of postcards. "We could put these up... if you wanted.'

"I collected these from all the traveling I did," Ayame told her, uncovering the item. Mayumi would have guessed they had been pictures - stupid touristy things and a few pictures of family - but, looking at them, Mayumi's eyes glazed over. Postcards. "We could put these up... if you wanted."
She blinked, staring at the few that she could see. It looked like there were hundreds of them. The urge to show Ayame her pictures vanished quickly.
"Sure," Mayumi said, wondering if she sounded too eager. "I mean, If you want. I have a few things I wanted to hang up, too, but I'd rather look at those," she motioned to the postcards, "than my doodles and pictures."
After a quiet moment, Mayumi added, "You've really been to all of those places?"

Ayame gazed into the box wistfully, feeling a sudden homesickness for the road.
"Sura, I mean, If you want. I have a few things I wanted to hang up, too, but I'd rather look at those," Mayumi motioned to the postcards, "than my doodles and pictures."
"Eh?" Ayame snapped her head toward her friend. "Let's put up both." she said, taking out a few pictures. The top ones were the most recent, being mostly of Shibuya and Shijnuku, but some were actually of Aozora Academy. She stood up, and walked across the room and opened a drawer in one of the desks to rummage around for the tape.
"You've really been to all of those places?" Mayumi asked, after a few minutes of silence.
Stopping to answer, Ayame smiled longingly and nodded. "Well, some are older than I am. My father was a photographer before he even met my mother." Finally finding the roll of tape, she headed for the bare wall, and dragged her fingertips across it to make sure the tape wouldn't make the paint peel.
"So, Mayumi... can I see the drawings you were talking about?" she asked shyly, turning around again.

Her voice shy and far away, Ayame asked, "So, Mayumi... can I see the drawings you were talking about?" The blonde girl turned to face her roommate, a roll of tape and a few more post cards in her hand.
Mayumi blinked at her lap for a moment, considering this. Sure, her stupid sketches weren't as precious to her as her songs were, but they were in the same book - literally. Flip one wrong page and Ayame would be staring into the face of the song Mayumi had sung at the auditions. She had shown Kakeru, so it really shouldn't be that big of a deal, right?
Nodding once and forcing a small smile, Mayumi mumbled a quiet, "Alright," and stood from her spot on the bed. She moved quickly to her bag, knowing exactly where she had left the notebooks.
Pulling one out and turning a few pages, Mayumi showed it to Ayame. The drawing was of her older sister - Akemi - sitting near the pond in the spring, Akemi hadn't known that her sister was drawing her. The drawing on the page next to it was of her piano, and, though it slightly resembled a cartoon drawing, it was one of Mayumi's favorites.
"There are a few more," the dark-haired girl said, nodding to her bags, "But I don't know if you want to sit through four notebooks of bad sketches," Mayumi chuckled halfheartedly. "And I was just going to put them up by my desk anyway, so you really won't have to see them as much."

Ayame felt a little bad at first for asking, but her spirits lightened when Mayumi pulled out a notebook. She smiled and set the tape and pictures on the edge of a desk and took a seat on the bed beside her friend. Peering over Mayumi's shoulder as she paged through it, she was amazed by her talent. Not only could she sing like an angel and play piano, but she could also draw. This shy girl's idea of a sketch was her own idea of a masterpiece.
"Wow," Ayame whispered, still in awe. "You're really, really good, Mayumi. If this school had a Visual arts division you could easily double major."
"There are a few more," the dark-haired girl said, nodding to her bags, "But I don't know if you want to sit through four notebooks of bad sketches," Mayumi chuckled halfheartedly. "And I was just going to put them up by my desk anyway, so you really won't have to see them as much."
Ayame suddenly frowned. "Why wouldn't I want to see them?" she asked. "They're amazing. I mean...wow. I really don't know what to say, but, you have a lot of talent." she added, wondering how much about each other they still didn't know.
