"What the fuck how are you so tall?"
Daisuke shrugged, taking a seat once again, "It's a curse." he was half joking, but there was some truth to it. Being tall kind of sucked for this exact reason. People thought you were a freak.
Dai smirked, taking a long sip of his coffee and nodding. "Very" he agreed. Dai took another sip before leaning back into his chair and looking at Ren, "What do you count as interesting talk?"

"What I count as interesting talk..?" Ren began to look up, trying to think real hard of the things that usually entertained him. He suddenly shrugged. "To be honest, you seem like a boring person on the inside. On the outside, however..." Ren began to smile as he remembered being amazed by first his hair colour, and now, his height.
"So, tell me, Daisuke.." Ren said as he stared at other people in the room. "Ahh, I don't know." Ren said bluntly as he leaned back in his chair, slouching. "Having a conversation with you is impossible."

"What I count as interesting talk..? To be honest, you seem like a boring person on the inside. On the outside, however..."
That's was about the last straw, placing his cup down Dai gave Ren a rare cold gaze. In no way was it supposed to be threatening, but it was Dai letting the other boy know he wasn't happy. "What would make me less boring to you Ren?" He gave him a dead pan look. Cranky Dausuke. "Do you want me to dance on the table or something? Would that be enough to entertain you?"
Smacking his palm to his forehead, he shook off his crankiness, "Sorry for that.... I'm just a little sleep deprived."

"Oh, is Daisuke-kun giving me a glare?" Ren teased as he smirked. "Yes, if you don't mind. I'd like to see you dance on the table. You just dug your own grave, Daisuke." He smiled as he stretched his arms. "Sleep deprived? Now what reason would you have to not be sleeping?" Not like Ren cared at all, but if it made this awkward conversation go somewhere he didn't mind.

Dai took on the challenge, "Dug my own grave? I'm tall and I have purple hair. How is dancing on this table going to make me stand out any more than I already do?" Pushing back his chair with a loud squeak, he stepped onto the table. Dai smirked as he did a little jig on the table, all eyes on him. With a proud smile he hopped of the table and sat back into his own chair. "I know I know, I can't dance, but... that's why I'm not a dancer right?" he laughed, ignoring all of the looks he was getting.
"I was writing music. Stupid singer stuff, but... I gotta make my Mom proud!" That wasn't supposed to sound as personal as it did, but it slipped out that way anyway.

Ren widened his eyes - "W-WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU DOING GET DOWN! I WASN'T BEING SERIOUS!" He shouted as he pushed him slightly. "God damn, it's embarrassing sitting with you.." Ren hid his face with his hands as soon as he sat down, hearing the small laughs that were coming from everyone in the room.
"Mom?" He smiled a bit. "That's nice." He rolled his eyes a bit, not like he knew what it felt like.

Dai laughed at Ren's embarrassment, for such a tough guy... he was pretty easy to embarrass. He waved to the giggling crowd, "Thank you, thank you." He even bowed, before getting back to his coffee, which was luke warm.
"If I get famous, maybe I'll be able to see her again." he sighed quietly, looking down into his coffee. Why was he saying this to...Ren? The other guy clearly didn't care.

Ren's widened his eyes once again - It seemed like he was doing that a lot with Daisuke. There was not one moment where he didn't surprise Ren. "If you get famous..?" Ren muttered as he looked down. He was in the same situation. Exactly the same. Astounded at the fact that they could actually relate to something, he sighed and tried his best to avoid eye contact. "Well, I hope you get famous, then." Ren mumbled as he tapped his finger on the cold surface of the table.

Daisuke looked up at Ren, now confused at the sudden change of character. Had he hit something important? Carefully, Dai spoke up, "Thanks," he smiled,"Fame is success and success is something to be proud of. So If I'm famous, they'll be proud. I kinda... left on bad terms." Dai looked away now, swallowing the knot that had risen in his throat. Shit. "Gah, sorry this stuff is boring. What about you? Do you want to get famous too?"

Ren shook his head. "Go on." Ren simply stated as he smiled awkwardly. "It's not boring at all." He sighed. Ren didn't like talking about this at all, but since Daisuke was opening up, he kind of felt obligated to do so as well. He nodded, "Yes. I'm in the same situation as you, sort of.. I guess." Ren admitted with an unsure look on his face. "What do you mean by 'bad terms'?"
He didn't care if he was being nosy, if he didn't answer he didn't necessarily have to. Ren was just being his usual curious self and didn't care if he was prying in his business.

Dai fiddled with his coffee cup, trying to see how he could tell this story without completely saying everything about him. Talking about himself was odd, he hated it actually, but... for some reason Ren was welcoming so Dai went on. "...Well I kinda just left." He smiled sheepishly, pinching the top of his cup. "You see... due to certain circumstances my father kinda hates me." There was no way he could lighten the tale, "Long story short, I had to leave so they could go on with their lives, but my mom isn't taking it so well." Dai smiled up at Ren, "But it's cool because if I work hard and get famous, Dad'll be proud and we can be together again. So it'll be a happy ending." Tilting his head to the side.

Trying his best not to be insensitive, Ren nodded. "I see." He didn't know that someone so optimistic could have such problems. Usually, he only thinks about himself and his own problems so things like this never cross his mind. "Well I hope for the best then, Daisuke." Ren stated as he blinked a couple of times, feeling the awkward atmosphere coming back.
Ren suddenly forgot what it was like to actually have a... real family. And knowing that Daisuke came to this school to achieve that, a loving family - he gained a lot of respect for him. Ren smiled and laughed to himself; "You're not so bad, kid."

Dai beamed, "Thanks, you're not so bad either."
The purple haired teen rested his face onto his palm, and looked at Ren, "I hope you get famous too." He looked away from Ren, knowing that embarrassing the kid could be deadly. "Before, you said that you were in a similar situation... what did you mean?" Dai finished off his coffee and moved it out of his way.

Ren raised his eyebrows, unsure how to respond to that. "I need to become famous inorder to see my parents again too." He said in a quiet tone, making it obvious that he was uncomfortable. "If I'm lucky." He shrugged as he played around with his hair, not sure how the kid infront of him would react at all. "I, uh..." He began to crack a smile, "I haven't seen my parents in about seven years so I guess showing them that I've managed to reach success without them is a good way to say 'fuck you', don't you think?"

Was it weird that Daisuke understood that feeling? The feeling of wanting to be something as a way of just telling someone fuck you. Nodding, Dai smiled at Ren, looking him in the eye. "You can do it, you know. And I'm not trying to bullshit you, I think you can seriously do it. I mean you had me believing you were just a huge jerk until right now... you're a great actor." It was true, Daisuke knew there was something brooding under the boy's hard exterior, but... he never expected this. Not in a billion years. They were really similar... Ren and him.
"My father hasn't spoken to me since I was... well... since I was a kid. I mean I still saw him, so I'm sorry, I can't completely relate but I can understand that whole 'fuck you' thing."
