Character(s): Amaya Nakamura, Hikaru Akane
Time: 6:24 PM
Location: Beach; near the water??
----------------------------------------
Amaya felt it was necessary to visit the beach at least once in her stay at Aozora. She hadn't been privileged with such fieldtrips when she was younger; the beach had been much too far from her home to go as often as she would have. She missed out on the experience, so to speak.
The feeling of the salty air tossing her hair about, touching every piece of exposed skin-- it was wonderful. She wondered how she could bear to miss such a feeling... So calming, soothing. Even if she didn't go often, she did remember distinctly the opportunities she had gone to the beach, albeit rare.
When she was about 7 years old, her parents had decided to take her to the beach for the first time, about 2 hours away. It was quite the distance away, but they did not want her to miss out on such an experience. The second she stepped out of the sophisticated car, Amaya fell in love. The view, the wind, the sun, everything. But the part she loved the most was the ocean.
The never-ending, expanse of ocean as far as the eye could see.
It had been an exciting day, playing around in the sand for the first time in her life. The only times she had seen sand was in children's movies, like the Little Mermaid. And it wasn't even real. But there she was, letting the grains of sand slip through her fingers, actually feeling it. Every little detail had been burned into her mind, her memory.
Coming back to reality, she realized that the sunset reflected across the ocean, making the color even more beautiful. The sunset.... such a lovely sight. It was nice just standing there, enjoying the view-- especially since there was absolutely no one populating the beach at this time. It was a time for her to be calm, to reminisce.
Little did she know that she was, in fact, not alone.
